♕ Jonerys AU
Jon and Daenerys as Peter and Valerie in “Red Riding Hood”
Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones 1.04: “Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things”
"Would you want to see Viserys sit a throne?” Dany thought about that. “He would not be a very good king, would he?” “There have been worse … but not many.” The knight gave his heels to his mount and started off again. Dany rode close beside him. “Still,” she said, “the common people are waiting for him. Magister Illyrio says they are sewing dragon banners and praying for Viserys to return from across the narrow sea to free them.” “The common people pray for rain, healthy children, and a summer that never ends,” Ser Jorah told her. “It is no matter to them if the high lords play their game of thrones, so long as they are left in peace.” He gave a shrug. “They never are.”

Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones 1.03: “Lord Snow”
athjahakar - “pride, prowess”. Derived from “jahak,” the traditional long braid worn by Dothraki warriors.
got/asoiaf meme ♕ [2/6] costumes | Daenerys Targaryen’s blue dress-tops
The inspiration for Dany’s costumes and their evolution is very much her story. The colour choice was dictated by the fact that the Dothraki precious colour is blue, so as a nod to her role as khaleesi and an acknowledgement of her dead husband and son, it becomes the basis of her palette.
After Qarth, where it was designed so that it felt as though she had made a mistake in her style choices, Dany begins to take on more elements from the Qartheen male style of dress, whilst also adding her own personal twist. The change in her clothing style is partly about her journey of becoming a leader, but also the practicality of it. She has been leading a nomadic life so wearing boots and leather trousers is a necessity. They lend strength to her look, while the shape of the dress-tops helps to create a sense of her femininity.
Many elements were considered when designing these costumes, with the dragon-scale embroidery and the cobra-hood shaped sleeves acknowledgements of both her House and her role as the Mother of Dragons, while also conveying a sense of armour and protection. The embroidery on her costume begins as a subtle texture, but as she increases in power and strength it becomes more elaborate. As Dany grows alongside her dragons, the texture of her dress-tops becomes more embellished, growing down the costume. (Source in the replies)

Keep walking. If I look back I am lost. Memories walked with her. Clouds seen from above. Horses small as ants thundering through the grass. A silver moon, almost close enough to touch. Rivers running bright and blue below, glimmering in the sun. Will I ever see such sights again? On Drogon’s back she felt whole. Up in the sky the woes of this world could not touch her. How could she abandon that? It was time, though. A girl might spend her life at play, but she was a woman grown, a queen, a wife, a mother to thousands.

Game of Thrones — 1.01: “Winter Is Coming”
That night she dreamt that she was Rhaegar, riding to the Trident. but she was mounted on a dragon, not a horse. When she saw the Usuper’s rebel host across the river they were armored all in ice, but she bathed them in dragonfire and they melted away like dew, and turned the Trident into a torrent. Some small part of her knew that she was dreaming, but another part exulted. This is how it was meant to be. The other was a nightmare, and I have only now awakened. (ASOS Daenerys III)
~
It is time to cross the Trident, Dany thought, as she wheeled and rode her silver back. Her bloodriders moved in close around her. “You are in difficulty,” she observed.
“He will not come,” Kraznys said.
“There is a reason. A dragon is no slave.” And Dany swept the lash down as hard as she could across the slaver’s face. Kraznys screamed and staggered back, the blood running red down his cheeks into his perfumed beard. The harpy’s fingers had torn his features half to pieces with one slash, but she did not pause to contemplate the ruin. “Drogon,” she sang out loudly, sweetly, all her fear forgotten. “Dracarys.”
The black dragon spread his wings and roared.
A lance of swirling dark flame took Kraznys full in the face. His eyes melted and ran down his cheeks, and the oil in his hair and beard burst so fiercely into fire that for an instant the slaver wore a burning crown twice as tall as his head. The sudden stench of charred meat overwhelmed even his perfume, and his wail seemed to drown all other sound.
[…]
“Unsullied!” Dany galloped before them, her silver-gold braid flying behind her, her bell chiming with every stride. “Slay the Good Masters, slay the soldiers, slay every man who wears a tokar or holds a whip, but harm no child under twelve, and strike the chains off every slave you see.” She raised the harpy’s fingers in the air … and then she flung the scourge aside. “Freedom!” she sang out. “Dracarys! Dracarys!” (ASOS Daenerys III)
~
“I looked at that book Maester Aemon left me. The Jade Compendium. The pages that told of Azor Ahai. Lightbringer was his sword. Tempered with his wife’s blood if Votar can be believed. Thereafter Lightbringer was never cold to the touch, but warm as Nissa Nissa had been warm. In battle the blade burned fiery hot. Once Azor Ahai fought a monster. When he thrust the sword through the belly of the beast, its blood began to boil. Smoke and steam poured from its mouth, its eyes melted and dribbled down its cheeks, and its body burst into flame.” (ADWD Jon III)
“It’s very interesting that Dany’s second prophetic dream about her foreshadowed role as a warrior for the dawn comes the night before she carries out her plan. True that she’s thinking of Rhaegar to embolden herself, but it also aligns neatly with the fact that Dany will be facing non-human slavers in the distant future, and so the timing of this prophetic dream is apt. She will use dragonfire to kill Kraznys, just like she will use dragonfire to wipe out Others.” (x)
