This poster was a response to a brief on language whilst studying at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (University of the Arts, London). Using a quote by Ludwig Wittgenstein, the poster shows how word order changes from one language to the next, thus potentially changing the meaning. The reader can track the word order in different languages by identifying which word each colour is assigned to. Catriona Maciver is a Scottish designer working in Scotland and India. Language has played a significant role in her work throughout college and continues to be an area of interest.
