The Parlour Level: Before!
Yes, everything was painted PINK!
We did things backwards. We had the floors done before we did the intense restructuring. In the voice of Fred Armisted doing Joy Behar "So what? Who cares?"

And during...
We're finally on to the Parlour Level of our house, where the kitchen, dining room and living room will be. We had to take down all of the tin and sheetrock from the ceilings to sister the joists which are holding up the 3rd floor. Scary.

Garden Level Bathroom: Before & After

The entrance to the garden level bathroom was originally off of the garden entrance hallway . We closed up the original doorway and enlarged the bathroom by a couple of feet to make it a bit larger. Above you can see the old wall and the new wall.

Garden Level Kitchen: Before & After
The garden level kitchen was covered in yellow & black plastic tiles probably from the 50s. Removing them was hellish, seeing that they were adhered to the wall with glue which toxic stench still lingered years later. The floor was in terrible shape so we pulled up the existing sub-floor and started over...
