i had a very vivid dream where i ran a daily truthlessage headcanon blog and now im here to fulfill my duty…
every day for 2026 (hopefully) i will post a headcanon!

Head-Canon.
The Sage of Truth is semi face blind, so its difficult to recognize others, specifically when they're wearing something different, so Truthless wears the same outfit everyday, or at least has his hat on to help Sage recognize him better.
this took me forever i literally just opened my ask box today…
i should really make more headcanons about sage’s eyesight… he wears a monocle around so i like to think he doesn’t have the best eyesight in the world. imagine you and your husband having terrible eyesight… tragic…
I feel like Truthless Recluse would actually be quite sensitive even though he doesn't show it. I can imagine Sage of Truth nuzzling, tickling and kissing him in sensitive spots and he is just trying not to flustered.
i love freak sage..:: i can see him having a fixation on playing with recluses neck and recluse trying to stay locked so he doesn’t startle him

Sometimes, Sage gets too excited while writing a letter to Recluse that his words become ineligible on the paper. Recluse once received a letter that was supposed to be a nice invitation for tea, but read so horribly that he didn’t come at all.

Instead of tasking his students to do tedious work doesn’t have time for during a research project, Sage will delegate those tasks to Recluse as his way of flirting. When Recluse asked why he had to do this instead of a student, Sage told him he likes commanding him around. Recluse was caught off guard so much that he dropped an important sample and delayed the project by weeks.

Sage likes to play with Recluse’s face when he’s bored. He likes to run his thumbs over his cheekbones and nose, as well as pinching at the skin to see how he would react.

stargazing is one of sage and recluse’s favorite things to do together. for sage, he rambles on about astronomy, and huddles up to recluse during the cold observation nights. for recluse, he gazes at sage instead of the stars, due to sage’s hair being an exact reflection of the night sky.

Recluse gets horrible cramps during her time of the month. Sage always takes time off her duties to help her by brewing tea with healing herbs, making elixirs, and laying on her stomach until the pain goes away.

Recluse completely closed himself off from any magic that wasn’t healing before meeting Sage. Sometimes, Recluse will do small magic tricks for Sage and get flustered when he actually likes them.

Sage and Recluse love watching reality TV shows together after getting off work or during lunch break. Recluse will sometimes watch them without Sage, and once he finds out, Sage will call Recluse a traitor for it.

Recluse will cry if he ever accidentally kills a plant Sage has raised. He will come home to Recluse sniffling and apologizing, trying not to laugh from how tiny the problem is.
