Last month, my professor was discussing with class about the mindfulness in our diet. She later talked about all of the negative effect that chemical and meats cause. I was nodding. Until she said, “Meats cause a very awful disease like autism.” and I lost it.

I was miffed. I could have slammed her down with the correction right there. But, I can not tell her off like that, because she’s my professor and her husband is my program’s chairperson.

im writing a book where the zombie virus is a mental illness that can be infected and causes you to become cannibalistic and not feel pain. After my character is cured, he struggles to feel empathy, can't comprehend things the same way, and often is nonverbal and looks emotionless (basically all my autistic symptoms). Conclusion -- zombies cause autism

I know that gender of the day doesn't like cis people reblogging posts, but is okay with them liking and following. I really like the idea behind your blog, but I don't want to overstep my boundaries. thank you!!!

We don’t have a rule that says that allistics can’t reblog, but if you’re allistic please make sure you understand the meaning of our post before reblogging. The purpose of this blog is not a satire of just “people say all sorts of weird things cause autism with no real reason to claim that it does and that’s really silly” I mean it is that too, but it’s mainly “autism is so stigmatized that people can and do use the fear of autism as propaganda for things they don’t like such as vaccines and gluten.” but yeah allistic people who understand and respect that are allowed to follow, like, and reblog, just maybe not submit because like this is a blog for autistic people and I think it’s best if all of the post are made by autistic people, I’m not sure how the other mods feel about allistic people submitting, that’s just my opinion.
