1 John 1:9
If we confess out sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
2 Peter 1:5,6
For this very reason, make every effort add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
1 Peter 3:8,9
be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
1 Peter 3:3,4
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight..
Romans 12:20
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- is good, pleasing and perfect will

Religious wars and other things
I don't get it. Like, AT ALL. If you claim to be a Christian, then shouldn't you be loving each other, just as Christ had done? I don't see the point in going to war for any religious reason. Which brings me to another, somehow slightly related, point. Why, of all the people in this world that is supposed to be in step with God, is the pope a part these wars? I'm not saying that it's the pope is the cause of these wars, but he took part in these wars. More often than not, big parts. Parts that sometimes lengthen wars. Either that or he's corrupt or take part in political concerns that he shouldn't be squabbling about. Speaking of, do Catholics think that the pope is a higher being? Sorry, I don't know how this works, but aren't popes just a person that another person picks? So what right does he have to claim a higher power? Excuse me if I'm being rude here, but I've been wondering about this for awhile. I'm currently learning about European history and many of them consist of the pope disagreeing with a prince/king/minister/etc. that led to wars, excommunications, etc. and it kinda annoyed me.
10 Day Media Fast (Jan 9-19)
For 10 days, my church was having a 10 day media fast. None of my friends wanted to do it (excusing themselves saying they have school inclinations), but I thought, why not? So for 10 days, other than defining words, listening to gospel music, or sermons, I hardly used the internet, tv, etc. Crazy? Very. But for 10 days, I was able to rest at 10, get more work done (much more than expected) and was able to set my priorities straight. I mean, just from all the temptations of "just checking facebook" I realize how much time I waste sitting, doing nothing. Okay. That's all. idk why you'd read this but thanks? :) lolol this diary/journal thing is kinda awks. kinda awks. awks. hawks. lawks. kawks. ka-kawks. what am i doing.
It scares me how much liberty God gives me.
Psalms 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Psalms 1:1,2
Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that the sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but who delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on his law day and night.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace
Matthew 9:12,13
"It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy not sacrifice.' For [Jesus] had not come to call the righteous, but the sinners."
