For the past six years, you’ve been my constant companion. My shadow. Every morning when I got up, you’d be there to greet me. You’d come sit with me while I worked. You’d climb on the desk and watch me play games, sometimes trying to get whatever was on the screen. You’d hop onto the bed and sleep next to me at night.
I was never going to be ready to say goodbye, but I know it’s time. Thank you for the past six years. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter to my life. Six years wasn’t nearly enough time, but I treasure every second we had.
