All images for moth info posts will be in the public domain, using resources such as Wikimedia Commons and naturalist encyclopedias.
Image sources will be provided after the cut using Chicago footnotes. Full text citations will be available in a masterpost.

Information on species will be gathered from well-cited sources written by experts.
All sources cited will be vetted. Sources with a history of misinformation and/or plagiarism with be blacklisted.

Tagging Guidelines
Each moth info post will contain the following tags:

#dailymoths
The Latin name of the species.
All available common names of the species.
Accessibility
All photos will include a descriptive alt-text.
Spacing and symbols used in moth info posts will strive to be compatible with screen readers.
All posts will limit the use of formatting which is difficult to parse for people with cognitive disabilities.
Plaintext transcriptions will be provided for reblogs of posts where the OP has not provided a transcription of special formatting elements.
