It looks so beautiful and idyllic and yes, quite wet. But the moor is drying-up ... There was far to less rain in the last few months. Because it is a peat bog it needs rain to gain enough water. Ground water can’t get through the layers.

If you don’t believe in climate change, go to the moor ... go into the forests. The moor is drying-up, the trees die of thirst. We desperately need rain, much rain ...

Yes, a sunny day is nice and nobody loves never ending rain shower for weeks. But we need them, nature needs them. Hopefully the next sommer won’t be that dry like the last two ones. And hopefully we will have some very rainy days soon.
