"How do you feel about Oichi?"
Ask my character “How do you feel about ______?” Can be an idea, person(s), place, or thing, and they’ll have to answer honestly.
the female in question may as well have been one of his first real friends in the city. it was an unlikely friendship, as he had gotten her wrapped up in one of his heists gone wrong. anyone else in that situation probably would’ve resented him for dragging him into trouble, but she showed him only kindness. that was odd for him to see after committing an illegal act, so he was humbled…and grateful that she even offered to help ward off the police.
it was silly, really, how much a simple, innocent act of kindness like that could make an impact.
it wasn’t long after that Oichi genuinely surprised him. it was Christmas and Titus was not expecting anything (although he got gifts for everyone he was close to), but Oichi did something for him that was creative and, well…cute. she carefully wrapped Christmas lights around him and turned them on, claiming it was because she wanted his exterior to match his bright personality.
Titus would be lying if that didn’t make his heart swell.
he looks away and folds his arms behind his head, a kind of defense air about him– like he won’t be telling the whole truth even though he’s supposedly obligated to.
“She’s kinda weird, but I guess that’s why I like her, ‘cause I’m weird, too. It’s cool to have a friend who you can go weeks without talking to and then just start talking to out of the blue and have it not be weird.” he pauses. it’s not like he enjoys going weeks without talking to her, it’s just…nice to have someone like that.
he doesnt really have many close friends. he has a lot of brothers and sisters, but thats a different feeling. and…relationship wise? he hasn’t had a lot of those to speak of either. so…whatever it is he’s feeling when he’s around her, he has no idea.
“She’s mysterious, too. I’m afraid I’m gonna end up saying the wrong thing one day, or end up doing the wrong thing. But– everyone feels like that about everyone, huh?”
she’s great, he wants to say. she’s deserving of much more than she thinks she is.
