My father is in Gaza, where every day has become a fight for survival.

A few days ago, he suffered a blood clot in his leg and was rushed to the hospital. His condition is serious, and the doctors have told us that he urgently needs surgery to save his leg and prevent life-threatening complications.

The cost of this emergency operation is $700, and we have only one week to raise it.

Watching my father suffer while being so far away is heartbreaking. I feel helpless knowing that his only chance depends on whether we can gather this amount in time.

I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.

I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.

I don’t know how many more times I can come here and ask for help. Every post I write comes with tears, because my mother’s life is all I can think about.

Yesterday, her condition became much worse , I can’t stop replaying those terrifying moments in my mind. Standing beside her hospital bed, watching her struggle, feeling completely powerless… it’s a pain I can’t put into words. The doctors told us she urgently needs this heart procedure, but we’re still waiting because we don’t have the money.😔

We’re only $600 away from the urgent heart procedure she needs. Such a small number to some people, yet for us it feels like the distance between hope and despair.💔

If your mother were the one in that hospital bed, you wouldn’t stop fighting for her not for a second. That’s exactly what I’m doing now.💔😔
