Hitori crushed the small handle piece in his hand to smithereens before Sora rushed forward. He got in a ready stance and blocked a few punches before he lost sight of her, feeling the foot press against his back as he was forced forward. Recovering in a roll to his feet, he leaped at Sora with his arm covered in quartz, with a fist shaped figure, bringing it down on her position.

‘Heads up.’

“I know!” Sora snapped, punching her arm up into the air. A pillar of solid rock followed her motion, slamming into the quartz around Hitori’s arm and smashing it. She sighed, glaring at her feet, “Maybe we should stop for a bit. My head isn’t really clear.”

Hitori certainly took the not bad as a compliment until she made a comment on someone else’s skill. It didn’t matter really. where Sora saw just a large sword, Hitori saw an armory at his disposal.

Seeing the one rapier come at him through the air made him move to the side quickly as the blade graze his cheek. But no blood could be seen before he sensed Sora moving in. Seeing the determination in her eyes, his instincts kicked in. “Ha!” His body spun and caught the blade on the hilt guard, then using his strength to slide the sword he held into the soft ground, pinning her last rapier. “I’ve got you!” He said confidentially before breaking the emerald hilt off of the sword and using it as a small club, striking her away from him. His purple hues scanned her as the distance between them were mere feet.

‘Looked like that hurt.’

“Shut it.” Sora muttered, rubbing her face where Hitori had struck her as she regained her footing. She cracked her neck, her mismatched eyes glinting a little in the light. Judging the distance between them she rushed past him, turning on her heels behind him and placing her foot flat against his back. There wasn’t enough force for it to hurt, but if she straightened her leg any farther she’d at least push him forward. “So,” She said, “Am I fast enough for you?”

“Oh, don’t worry, Sora, I promise I don’t underestimate-” Before Hitori could finish, Sora was already in front of him with the two blades coming straight down at him. “!” The earth mage quickly brought his arms up to collide with the two weapons with a loud clang. The gauntlets over his arms weren’t just for show. Then his tone of voice changed, followed by a glare. “As I was saying, I promise I won’t underestimate you.” As he finished he pushed off and put his hands together, followed by a magic circle under his feet and did a twirl forward at the recovering student, then he collided with her again as a large emerald greatsword rubbed against her rapiers. “Now get a load of what another earth mage can do?” Surprisingly he had the strength to push her back and swing quickly as if that sword was almost weightless to him.

Sora jumped and slid back a few feet from him. “Hm. Not bad. I’ve seen better swordsman ship out of Douglas though.” She chuckled and threw her right hand sword directly at him before rushing him again, coming in low from the left.

Most people she fought fell for this one the first time. The necromancer did, Sora didn’t expect this to be much different. Although Hitori had already proved to be more than capable, she wouldn’t be surprised if this didn’t quite catch him like it did most people. He certainly wasn’t most people.

“Cmon! Let’s go find a place to start your training! Also, from this time forward you shall call me Sensei.” Hitori seemed to be enjoying this alittle more than others would.

After finishing his fries and ordering an ice water to go, the two earth mages headed out of Magnolia and into the forest, where others wouldn’t be disturbed by their intentions. “Here should do.” He said before jogging forward into an open grassy area. The sun peeked through the leaves as it lit the area quite nicely. “So…. Sora, show me what you can do. I want you to conjure up whatever weapon you said you can make and attack me. Think of as… a spar match, but I analyze how you do on the field.”

“Yeah I’m not calling you that.” Sora muttered, finishing her tea.

She glanced around as she followed him into the open grass, placing a hand on her hip. “It’s not bad out here.” Taking a deep breath, she held her hands out to the sides and summoned up two rapiers and twirled them gently in her hands, “Keep in mind, kid, I am gonna go easy on you. And I suggest you do the same to me, if you don’t we’re both in for a not so fun time.”

She rushed him, ignoring the snarky comments in the back of her mind, and brought her blades down towards his head.

“Not much of a choice? I can kind of relate to the saying, but I think their aren’t many earth mages, other than the Wizard Saint, Jura.” Hitori conversed with Sora as he ate the fries that he ordered. A small blush appeared on his face from how delicious they were to him. It wasn’t crystal, but for normal food it was a close second.

Then a grin appeared on his face before standing from his chair. “Then it’s decided! I’ll be your teacher!”

Sora laughed lightly at his excitement, “Sure, why not. As long as you’re a better teacher than my old one.”

She was still so many levels of bitter with Keyra. Got cursed into a dog by a witch, made her think he died and left her feeling abandoned, then posed as her pet for YEARS. So yeah, she was a little peeved with the guy. Hitori didn’t seem much like Keyra at all though, so hopefully that wouldn’t happen again.
