Felicity POV (this is my first so don’t murder me for mistakes or grammatical errors :3 )
I wake up suddenly and smile warmly at the sight of my baby girl, her hands on either side of my face, sitting crouched over on me. Her blue eyes wide as she flaunts her dimples that are identical to Oliver’s. I can already tell she wants something.
“Mommy, can I please please pleease go with you and daddy to Central City? Pretty please with two cherries on top?.. And some whip cream.” She wiggles her eyebrows at me. “
“She’s already tried this with me- though I only got one cherry.” I turn to my husband and smile brighter. He’s already up, sitting against the headboard of our bed. I can guess our two year old Tommy is sleeping in the next room- he’s quite like me in that way. But not my Ophelia, she’s up and at ‘em bright and early in the morning. She’s her fathers daughter, that’s for sure. 5 years old going on 21.
After explaining for what seems like hours why it would be boring for her to join us on our visit, Oliver chips in.
“You’re going to be with your cousins. Auntie Lyla says they’re excited to play with you.” Ophelia isn’t pleased. She pulls her eyebrows together and scrunches her nose in the most adorable way… She looks so much like her daddy when she does that. The thought makes me giggle.
“I don’t want to!” she all but shouts, crossing her thin arms over her chest. Oliver chuckles, leaning forward to place a kiss on her forehead between her eyebrows.
“Why not, princess?” he replies.
“I don’t want you to go”, she unfolds her hands and plays with the collar of her daddy’s shirt. He sighs, it’s really hard for him to deny her what she wants. Oliver tucks one blonde curl behind her ear trying to reconcile with her.
“I’ll tell you what, when we get back it will be an all about Ophie day. Hmm? How does that sound?” Her eyes lift to Oliver’s face and just like that, the dimples are back with a shy smile.
“Can we go to the carnival and get one of the big, big pink cotton candies?” Oliver nods happily, feeling relieved that she’s pleased with this suggestion. “And play all the games? And go on all the rides? Even the ones that go like this?” She twirls her pointer finger around really quickly to show which ride she has in mind. Oliver’s face falls at that, panic replacing his relief.
“We’ll have to see about that one okay?” Accepting her overprotective daddy’s concern, she grins a big toothy smile.
Placing her hand in her daddy’s and giving it a shake she replies, “You have a deal, Mr. Queen.” Ophie hops off the bed dragging her stuffed animal duck with her, long blonde curls bouncing as she happily skips out of our bedroom.
“She’s relentless” I giggle in agreement. It’s true, Ophelia Thea Queen is a real package. “She gets that from you.” I nudge his arm playfully when I hear the huff of disbelief. “No way, she’s all her momma.”
