This is me in my favourite tassels. 

PALE PINK and GLITTERY BLUE EARRINGS, cut from recycled floral print fabric with a pink tassel and frill of synthetic petals. Being fabric these earrings are LIGHT WEIGHT and easy to wear. Good news colour lovers, these TROPICAL BEAUTIES are BACK in my etsy shop! 

COLOURFUL EARRINGS in tropical shades with turquoise tassels. These OVERSIZE earrings, have been cut from recycled fabrics, vinyl printed and stitched by hand. These earrings have been cut from a brushy print fabric in various shades of blue, turquoise and purple, a bright turquoise and lilac fabric which have been printed with simple costume jewellery inspired shapes in fluorescent yellow, glittery blue and lilac vinyl. The components have been hand cut then stitched together to form the base of these earrings.

These summery purses were cut from a vintage housecoat, that i rescued from a brocante (flea market) while on holiday in France. The boldly patterned, vibrant, tropical floral print has been decorated with a textural, costume jewellery inspired lilac vinyl print, with areas of gloss white and silver glitter. Each purse has been lined with a 1970s floral print cotton in either pink or blue (cut from old pillowcases, kindly donated to me by one of my favourite customers!) and close with a quality, lilac YKK zip.

admire the organisation... DIY continues and chaos reigns in my flat, inspiring some uncharacteristically ordered photography. SOMETHING needed to be tidy. 

These are the tools and materials used in the construction of my TASSELLED TEXTILE EARRINGS. The finished earring is displayed on one of the ears that my partner (and HELPER) rudi cut from an old floorboard with his self built CNC machine! I use clothes pegs to clamp my jewel shapes into place while glue dries, the pliers to attach the earring hooks to jump rings, which are hand stitched into place with the large needle. The bird scissors snip the threads and cut out the jewels. 

The second image shows a scrap of the vintage, peach floral fabric that this pair of earrings were cut from. Giving new life to a beautifully patterned but super synthetic secondhand blouse. I forgot to snap the vinyl, out of sight out of mind? It’s currently all packed away, hidden from the dreaded dust.
