A Special Day with the Woody Williams Foundation

My mom and I were truly blessed today by the Woody Williams Foundation. They treated us to a suite at the Rangers game alongside other Gold Star families.

It was an amazing day — sharing stories, connecting with others, and honoring the memories of their loved ones.

This was the first time in 14 years since we lost Chauncy that I’ve taken part in something like this. For a long time, it just didn’t feel right to accept anything from these kinds of foundations. But I’m so glad I did — it was a peaceful, meaningful experience, and a much-needed moment of connection and healing.

Big Bass Alert! Caught this 9.10 lb healthy giant on topwater this morning! She crushed a new-to-me Zoo Pop Snag Proof popper in just 1 foot of water on the main lake. What a fight — short but intense! 😅💥🎣

Bass Champs Weekend by Da Lake Fork Guide Cody Mays Via Flickr: I had a busy Berkley Bass Champs weekend. Took these guys out Friday to pre-fish. On Saturday morning, I had a coed softball tournament, my buddy's wedding/funeral, and baseball commissioner meeting on Sunday. Brent and Justin Jones wanted to see a different lake today and they absolutely slayed the fish!!! Always a good times with the Jones family.
