He hadn’t expected to be so worried but three of their friends and predecessors had died sudden and somewhat mysterious deaths and now there was gunfire at a royal event. The idea of losing Dalia had been unbearable in that moment. “Are you sure? I heard the gunshots and then they ushered us away. I couldn’t find you. I was worried. I thought… I don’t know what I thought. I just worried.”
all things concerned, she had been left alone, getting steadily drunker as she laughed along with what ever a decently attractive man had spewed at her. dalia hadn’t even noticed that people had moved outside for the fireworks. “i was inside the entire time, i think -- i missed the entire thing.” her brows furrowed then, eyes looking on to the room filled with panicked royals. there’s nothing quite so sobering as tragedy. “was anyone hurt?”
