Kind of forgot i had a Tumblr... But i thought I could post an old comic (at least the first chapter) i origionally thought about making before i started on "could you talk to her?"
Any teensy tiny sneak peak of either what happend to Aemon or Rhaenys and that excuse of grandfather of hers in Office Hours?
Oh gosh. You know, I’ve been sat here thinking of what I can tell you that isn’t a massive spoiler for chapters way in the future and I really can’t think of anything. We’ll be meeting Aemon and Jocelyn in Chapter 11 (if all goes according to plan), so what I can show you this little snippet I have jotted down (subject to change, of course—this fic likes to keep me on my toes). It doesn’t go into what happened, but there are hints!
“There’s been something I’ve been meaning to tell you. Why I’ve been so distant lately, been in hospital—I wanted to wait until it was safe—”
“Sweetheart, are you—?”
“I’m pregnant.”
Her father’s look of concern breaks out into the most glorious smile. “Oh, darling. That’s wonderful news.”
He can’t reach for her, can’t pull her close, but she knows what the tilt of his chin means. She rushes towards him with a laugh and a grin, ducking her head to his chest, fingers clutching the shoulder of his jumper. She feels a hand on her back, and knows her mother is behind her, adjusting her husband’s arm so that he can hold their daughter close.
“Congratulations, sweetheart,” her mother murmurs softly, pressing a kiss to her hair.
“That’s assuming, of course,” says her father’s voice, a little muffled, “that this is something you want?”
She pulls back, wiping away the tears in her eyes with the corner of her sleeve. “Yes. Yes, it’s something I want. I won’t pretend it isn’t unconventional—but the baby is very much wanted.”
“Who’s the father?”
“Joss!”
“What?” Her mother asks, glaring defensively at her husband. “It’s not an unreasonable question!”
“You could have given her five minutes.”
Rhaenys cannot help but laugh, still stemming her tears. “Corlys, from work. You’ve not met him, but you’ve seen—”
“Feels like we’ve met him, the amount we hear.” Her father’s eyes sparkle. “Are you two are finally…?”
