Forsaken is a cashgrab cosmetic game now.
So, with the recent guest 1337 rework update, you've definitely noticed the shop menu change. I know some might not care too much about it, but to me it's just alarming. It gives me the same kind of ick I get from cashgrab games that have a million popups telling you to buy cosmetics and stuff.
In the shop, you'll notice how now the front page is advertising robux items, and the killer and survivor tabs only show skins. Beforehand, it wasn't like that at all. A shop is for buying characters AND skins. They instead decided to move the buying characters part to the inventory, which doesn't make sense. Your already bought items are supposed to go into the inventory, you don't buy something inside the inventory.
Now, the shop change makes it really clear that Forsaken has drastically changed its direction since it released. With so many skins (over 100+ I believe), and the shop now advertising robux and skins right in your face, it gets even more clear; Forsaken is a cosmetic simulator disguised as a survival game. Like how gacha games use long stories to get you to forget the purpose of the game is to make the business behind it more money.
I'm not going to be playing Forsaken anymore, and it already feels so freeing. I can just shut my blinds when the game gets into another drama because I know it won't be affecting me anymore. The shop change isn't the only reason why I quit, it's really just the straw that broke the camels burdened back.
