Your parents weren’t the parents you needed. But still you made it to the amazing person you are. You still feel a void. You need a father or/and mother figure.

You can be that for yourself, you know. You can treat yourself as the child you’ll love unconditionally. You can become the parent you always needed/wanted.

Love yourself. Support yourself. Check yourself when you are wrong. Hug yourself when you feel like crying or when you just need a bit of love. Be severe with yourself. Do things keeping good intentions for yourself in mind. Accept yourself: you are you, no one else is. Treat yourself from time to time. Listen to yourself. Care for your body, your material stuff and also everything that is not material. Tell yourself this when you’re afraid: you’re scared and that’s okay. Be scared. But being scared is not the end of the world. Surround yourself with people that are good for you. Watch yourself grow, promote growth and be proud of you.
