The redhead didn’t expect for that person to be so surprised. Asuha just responded with her usual laziness in tone of speaking and it surprised someone. That’s quite something. Later, she found out that the person who seemed to be lost was a male, seemed to be nervous when they met, as he attempted to strike a conversation awkwardly.

At least that’s good he wanted to say something, since Asuha wasn’t a talkative person either. She’d have been quiet if he hadn’t said anything. Her indifference never faltered, even if the male gave her a smile and finished his short speaking. Asuha wondered why, he talked quite a lot than this before. Does she make him nervous in any way? Well, if that’s true, it’s not like she’ll care either.

“Not really new…” She scratched the back of her head lazily. “I’ve been here for two weeks. I’m new but certainly not a native of this city either.” She answered what he asked, now it’s her turn to inquire a question. “So, where do you want to go? Are you also in a mission to go home?”

She just guessed, because that’s her first mission which she got the moment when she arrived at this Tomoshi City. To find out where’s Tsunagari District, and finally take a rest at her new home. No, she didn’t really want to call Tomoshi City a new home. She wanted to go back, to Chiba. When she figured out how to escape, that is.

    The tension within the atmosphere had lessen-- Not by much, but, it was enough to help ease the poor spear’s racing heart. 

    There was small hope growing within the black hole which confided within Otegine’s chest. Although she was fairly new herself, she was still a bit familiar with a few things here and there. So-- That should be enough to at least help him out, right? Hopefully, that is the case. And, once hearing the question which was being given to him in return, there was a tilt at his head before he found himself replying.

                                           Ahem.

“ Actually-- That’s exactly it. The map I had-- I kinda lost it on the way here. I wish I was more careful with the strong winds from this morning... ” With a sigh accompanying his pathetic words, there was still a slight sign of a smile taking over his lips, either way. At least he was being honest with his answer. Plus, he had no intentions of lying about something like that, anyways. There was no reason to. Unless, he were to feel embarrassed about it, but... That’s not the case here.

    Fiddling fingers. That’s all which the other kept on doing. There wasn’t much left to say, really. Aside from the place which he is still having to say. So-- Maybe the conversation won’t have to be so awkward as it went on? Maybe. “ I was heading on over to the Yasuragi District... I think I was able to get pretty close to it? I’m not too confident on that thought, though... ”

Ah, that was a familiar voice.

       Yamatonokami could have sworn that he was hearing things- well, until said voice raised in tone and he was forced to tear his attention away from what he had been focused on. And, with that, he came face to face with an individual he never got to know personally back at the citadel.

“ I-… Yes, that is my name. ” Is the immediate response, and a hand shifts to readjust the scarf around his neck. “ Ah, Otegine, it’s nice to see you again-. ”

    Once the other had turned around, the question which stirred within his mind was finally answered without hesitation. 

    A smile brewed up on over his lips, eyes glazing over for a moment. It wasn’t because he was feeling some sort of negative feeling of some sort, but, he was beginning to feel overwhelmed, and yet, overjoyed. Overjoyed because-- Damn! His thought about who his partner was was correct! But, damn, why was someone he knew having to be stuck here, too?

“ I was kind of surprised to see that I ended up being paired up with you... So, It’s definitely nice to be seeing you, too! But... ” There was a pause, “ Why? What are you doing here? ”

Not that Asuha has been here for a long time. Do two weeks count as long time? Not really. This place is bizarre albeit she starts to get used, but that doesn’t mean she wants to stay here. No, Asuha wanted to go from this Tomoshi City, a ridiculous city filled with strange mascots–Gomorins–she’s sick of, away from this experiment of connecting people with pain. She didn’t like this city, and she has bigger responsibility out there. She had to get out, no matter what happens. She had to figure out how, though.

She stifled a yawn when she noticed someone–who seemed to be lost. Not that she cared about him, but she suddenly had an obligation for not leaving him alone. She wondered why.

Asuha was never been a good tour guide, except the city she took care of, Chiba. She would never been interested in being a tour guide of a city she was hardly interested at. At this rate, however, she had no choice.

“I’m here.” She answered nonchalantly. “Though, I’m not sure I am the right person to show you around.”

    With his thoughts being met with a sudden pause, there was shriek at his shoes once he was turning himself towards the response he was being given. So, there really was someone around? And-- Oh, god. They probably heard him talking to himself, then. He didn’t pay much attention to the other who had spoken because of this new reoccurring thought. With a panicked look in his eyes, he took a large gulp of saliva; attempting to clear his throat. He wondered-- Would the other person notice how nervous he suddenly was? Hopefully, it wasn’t too obvious. If so, he’ll be sure to apologize for it. That is, if it was pointed out to him, anyways.

    Luckily, Otegine was able to get himself together, his hand which was over his hand was now snaking its way over the nape of his neck; rubbing at it. It was a habit of his, and, he never really noticed himself doing it. Still, he offered a smile to the other who had spoken to him.

“ Ah-- ” It was a small noise instead of an actual response. It wasn’t much, but, it was definitely a start. The hand which was now on his neck had dropped onto his side; fiddling with the rim of his jacket. Another habit of his. It did help him calm himself down, though. Hopefully, it wasn’t too much of a bother to witness or anything.

“ It’s okay-- I really don’t mind... Are you new around here, too? ” With a reply, he cocked his head to the side.

       “ What kind of paint is this-? ”

" Nn? Hey, are you oka-- ”

    There was a stumble in the yari’s steps-- At first, he only saw the other having some sort of struggle with something and simply wanted to help out, but-- He didn’t realize who it was which he was speaking to. So, there was a sudden pause to his response. But, he picked his words back up with a louder tone.

“ ...Yasu-- Yasusada? Yamatonokami Yasusada? ”

    Silence resonating within the tall individual’s ears... There was a moment of interference with a fuzzy noise slapping against said silence. It was shattered the silence which Otegine had allowed himself to envelope himself in. It wasn’t too bad. It was surely unexpected, and, he couldn’t help but feel a flinch takeover his body for split second.

    “ How do I know where to go... Kinda lost my way, and--... ”

    Damn it. He was beginning to speak to himself. No big deal. No one was really around, right? Or, at least, that’s what he had assumed, anyways. With a hand being brought up to have digits grind against his scalp to initiate a scratching motion, there was a sigh escaping by the back of his throat as he attempted to recollect his thoughts from before he got himself lost. It didn’t take long for him to get lost, really. With a place he was unfamiliar with, it was bound to happen, anyways. Still, he would have preferred if there was somehow some way to have met the others he knew before all of this happened. He wondered-- Was he the only one who got stuck into this situation? If so, he didn’t mind. Not because he wanted to get away from the others, but, because he thought--

    “ I wonder if the others are having a better time with training. They won’t have to worry about me now... ” What’s with the sudden change in thoughts? Did another train take over and replace the old one? Oh well. It was bound to happen, seeing as though he was all by himself now, anyways.

    “ I wonder if there is anyone around... Someone who knows this place better than I do-- Nn... ”
