Yet, your sweet words were a melody to my heart

That's why I believed you when you said you loved me,

when you said you couldn't have a life without me

and one other time you told me you would never hurt me

But here we are

If only I had known better

If only I prayed

If only I committed my heart into God's hands,

so the only person who could find it is

Now I know better

That love is more than mere words

It is even more than actions,

without seeking the Lords name

To find it, you have to go through God

and the only way to do that is to Pray!

BLOOD AND SWEAT : PAIN OF A NIGERIAN YOUTH

They blame us for being silent but when we talk they do not even listen

If we speak the truth they’ll call it hate speech and threaten to send us to prison

The fact that they think something is wrong with the youths, shows that there is a fault in the system

As kids they called us the leaders of tomorrow

and showed us the path to follow

“Education is the way” they said

But how come thousands of graduates are living in sorrow

and the path they created turned out to be a “lazy” one to follow?

When they said “Lazy Nigerian youths”! What they meant was, helpless, cheated on, deprived of the right to be, to live, and to excel

Because it’s been 60years of independence yet we are still where we were 60 years ago fighting for freedom, our lives and that of generations to come

The Government was made for us and should be a support system to its citizens

But why do they make us feel like it is their family house and we the citizens are nothing but strangers

We are Nigerian Youths, and Nigeria is Our home, and if are not Safe at Home I’m afraid there is no place we can ever be.

Can we talk about the days of distress?

Those days when we were broken, and alone and didn't know what to do

Those days when we cried so hard in the dark so no one would see us while hoping someone could hear us

The days we discovered who we were, because we were broken down to nothing and regained our strength because we were made whole again

The pain was necessary, it helped us realise our weaknesses and liberated us to work on them

and the tears, were an ink, every drop wrote a story.

Can we talk about the days of distress?

I found my true self in the days of distress.

in the hearts of many there’s a little bit of fear growing gradually when it is triggered as it lies deep down in there and when the weight becomes to heavy they find it hard to bear as it overshadows them and seems like their wall’s about to tear going to bed every night they become accompanied by tears tortured by the pain insecurity sets in and swallows their confidence just when they feel they cant take it anymore they try to find some help then they seek for a new soul,abandon their inner mind and deny themselves the ability to love,be loved,to be heard,to be accepted and to influence after finding a new soul they mask their faces and become someone else Not realising that all is vain if it’s not real you can never feel if you’re not real you can never impact if you dont feel because “FAKE” makes you too blind to see and too dumb to think…- DD

she never lived or loved the life she had or the place she found herself she always developed that feeling of hate,despair and loneliness for every place she found herself and so while hating the present with much passion,she would look forward to a better tomorrow what she failed to realise is that every better tomorrow she looked forward to with so much desire ended up becoming the today she despised and ran away from...... but for how long?.
