me: “yeah I dated a guy in high school who came out as gay. it was before i knew i was a boy so needless to say it didn’t work out”
coworker: “damn dude was preordering”
other things this coworker (who is a cis guy) has done/said:
—got confused about why I’d never been a boy scout because he forgot i was trans
—told me he was gonna get top surgery scar tattoos to match me after i get mine
—laughs at all my trans jokes, even if they’re supremely unfunny
—calls me big dog (and him little dog) even though he is about as tall as two of me
— “I can’t believe she would say that transphobic thing to you. In June? Pride month?”
Once I said "My gender is whatever's funniest at the time" and my coworker stops dead in his tracks, turns slowly and says "So are your pronouns honk/honk?" killing me instantly
to know sonic is to be transed
taking your own advice is so hard. it’s “make bad art” this and “kill your perfectionism” that until i sit down with an idea i like. the i have to execute it perfectly Or Else
I just overheard a guy at ihop say “how long would it take the world to realize that hiccups just disappeared forever” and honestly it’s fucking me up
Scout tf2 is the epitome of character design because he can be used to represent literally any underwhelming skinny white dude ever
See this man? This man is jerma985. This man is vinny vinesauce. This man is eminem. This man is Jesse Pinkman. This man is the guy who stole the hubcaps straight off your car at a waystation five miles outside of boston city limits. This man is whoever you need him to be but slightly worse. This man is everything you hoped for except shorter. This man is everyone. This man is no one.
her pronouns are HE/HIM
They really don't realize how badly they tell on themselves when their go-to with trans people is about violence or physical competition with a view toward injury, physical intimidation and shame.
be free!!
really not a fan of entire (mostly black) music genres being compressed and confined to being seen as "video game" music to be totally honest
acid jazz isn't acid jazz anymore, it's persona 5 music. new jack swing is just sonic cd music. jungle is the latest victim of this and is being relabeled as "ps1/n64" music even when the genre exists well beyond the confines of a couple dozen games from that period. and it sucks because the composers/artists who worked on these songs obviously adore those genres and where they come from. it's not their fault. but it just makes me sad seeing these genres effectively being whitewashed by people with zero interest in learning about their origins
For those who want to learn about which genres were used in different video game soundtracks, I'd recommend using RateYour Music. Tools for browsing genres via spotify really suck because it categorises them by shared listeners, while on RYM it's done by user consensus.
Here's what it has for Persona 5 and Sonic CD, as an example. It does still include that they're VGM, but there's a lot more detail about the genres used.
reblog to save a liFE
Up to now, I have been drawing random generic suit jackets.
Never again.
Not just artists! I can use this both in drawings and writings! And good also for sewers/seamstresses/idk. Thanks for this!!!!
Perfect. Will use this later.
