Why everyone loves Megan
Has anyone noticed that Megan thee Stallion is one of the biggest musicians out and there was very little news or social media coverage on her being shot and shot at multiple times...not even a single lil âthoughts and prayersâ from any of the tiktokers that use her music daily or the brands still preaching of a Hot Girl Summer..across cultures, everyone let Meganâs identity and likeness impact them and across cultures, no one gave a single fuck about that woman. Itâs so saddening. like I hope you all understand that at best, black womenâs fame = them being a commodity, not genuine care. Like god imagine if someone like Ariana was shot by an ex/friend/anyone?? Weâd hear about it for weeks and yet Megan barely got a drip of attention. And the attention she did get? Jokes. Thousands and thousands of jokes. Itâs easier to find tweets joking about the situation or being a doctor checking out her ass as opposed to tweets of any concern, and thereâs many tweets dismissing that little roach that shot her. Itâs extremely disturbing and exactly what we mean when we say black women are seen as bottom of the barrel on this planet, not given a single fuck about (but taken from until they have nothing left ofc)
Iâm not afraid of criticism, and âProtect Black womenâ should not be controversial.
I was recently the victim of an act of violence by a man. After a party, I was shot twice as I walked away from him. We were not in a relationship. Truthfully, I was shocked that I ended up in that place.
My initial silence about what happened was out of fear for myself and my friends. Even as a victim, I have been met with skepticism and judgment. The way people have publicly questioned and debated whether I played a role in my own violent assault proves that my fears about discussing what happened were, unfortunately, warranted.
After a lot of self-reflection on that incident, Iâve realized that violence against women is not always connected to being in a relationship. Instead, it happens because too many men treat all women as objects, which helps them to justify inflicting abuse against us when we choose to exercise our own free will.
From the moment we begin to navigate the intricacies of adolescence, we feel the weight of this threat, and the weight of contradictory expectations and misguided preconceptions. Many of us begin to put too much value to how we are seen by others. Thatâs if we are seen at all.
The issue is even more intense for Black women, who struggle against stereotypes and are seen as angry or threatening when we try to stand up for ourselves and our sisters. Thereâs not much room for passionate advocacy if you are a Black woman.

Look at how I bodied that, ate it up and gave it back
school uniforms shouldnât be mandatory
IF they are mandatory, they MUST be free. In this way, everyone has the same quality of clothing and no one âlooks poorâ. If the idea behind uniforms is to make everyone the same and stop clothing based conflict, the uniforms have to be free, itâs the only way to justify them.
When I was in elementary school with uniforms, you could always tell which kids had money because they had all the optional uniform âaccessories.â So even if it was theoretically about looking the same, there was still a hierarchy to it.
