Portrait by Drew Dominey This captures the last few months of my life a little too well: cats (always), living in this jacket (cold and rainy ATL yâall), moving boxes (donât ever sell a condo), and odd smile (Black Friday braces) and my dadâs mysterious barstool (that found a new home). This is one of the few pieces of furniture that has survived several childhood and adult moves. I believe I inherited it before my dad passed away in the mid-nineties, and I loved it dearly... but I rarely sat in it and just piled puppets, pins, and MTG cards on it in the condo years. For a while a Roomba or a cat sack lived under it, and it blocked a big patch of the bookshelf. It didnât feel like me anymore and weighed on me as a big thing to carry around to honor someone I love. I was debating what to do with it for months until baby Drew saw it and fell in love. Itâs still with family as far as Iâm concerned, and that feels pretty darn magical. Also if you get rid of it Drew I donât blame you! Give it to someone tall who likes sitting in it! #catlady #barstool #vintage #byebye #giftitforward #purging https://www.instagram.com/p/BsgHE_MAXBQ/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1s95ayusihm5i
