I am Christine Jowers, a dancEnthusiast in NYC, and the editor of The Dance Enthusiast news site.. I communicate about dance (performance art, live art, installations, life, people...all moving things) and created a platform to celebrate this. It started out as a solo endeavor, but now we are we have over 10 contributing reporters! Since the Pandemic,I have taken to painting, collage, digital collage and designing accessories like scarves and bags. Last month I had the chance to watch @mistyonpointe aka Misty Copeland and @carmendelavallade teach a special class to youngsters from the @dancetheatreofharlem and the @hsanyc Harlem School for the Arts. I discovered that even as an adult who has retired my ballet slippers,I still have so much to learn from ballet class. We are never to old to be enriched and inspired in this dance 💃🏿 of life. What we learned last week on The Dance Enthusiast @dancenthusiast: Stefanie Batten Bland artistic director and choreographer of @companysbb talks about transforming the idea of walls in her latest work at the LaMama Moves Fest @lamamaetc . A fellow dance enthusiast's PBS show won a third Emmy while exploring dance in our 🌃 city (check out Barefeet with Mickela Mazzolli @travelbarefeet appearing on PBS @pbs 📺 this July.)
