Best birthday ever!
Today was World Ballet Day, as well as my 20th birthday! I've spent most of the day simply relaxing and watching the live stream on The Royal Opera House's website. All in all, it's been a really great day and now that it's over I'm already looking forward to Monday's lesson, haha! Did the rest of you enjoy World Ballet Day as much as I did? :) //DD
Today's lesson (September 29th)
Class went great today! I had had a really awful day today, with everything going wrong. Then comes the time for dance class to start and I'm there an hour early so I can do my hair up and prepare the best I can. I felt so much more relaxed by that point and everything went just fine! I did start having some period cramps towards the end, but it was okay. Today was the first time I stretched using the barre. It hurt as all hell but it still felt really nice, somehow. I felt much taller and relaxed by the time I was walking home, too! I have to say, this day may have started awful, but it ended as the absolute best. All thanks to ballet. Until next time! //DD
Finally, my third lesson!
We had a substituting teacher yesterday, since our teacher gave birth last week. Apparently, she'd said she could still do it but wasn't allowed to in the end. The substitute was a really kind woman who'd been a dancer for ten years but this was her first time ever teaching. It was a bit different but it was fun! I also finally got to try my leg warmers and oh boy they are so warm and comfy during warm-ups. I'm going to hold off on buying proper dance wear a while longer, also, since I'm completely broke at the moment... Need to save up a little first, eheh. Until next time! //DD
My teacher gave birth!
Last Saturday, my teacher apparently gave birth to a baby daughter! I'm really happy for her!
Of course, this meant there would be no dance lesson today... I had been looking forward to it a lot, but oh well. C'est la vie, right? I'll just have to give it my all next week instead!

Went to Gothenburg yesterday and thought I'd swing by the dance shop there. Bought myself a pair of leg warmers and they're really cosy~! I also looked a bit at leotards and sweaters, but I still can't afford them after all. I'll see what I can save up next month, though. For now, I'm just really excited about Monday's lesson! Welp. I was really sick yesterday so I had to stay home from dance ad everything else, sadly. Not really much else to day… I’ll update again next Monday instead.

Second lesson!
Yesterday I had my second ballet lesson and we did some more stuff this time, but also the same as last time. We started with plié in first, second, third and fifth position, then we did a lot of things at the barre that I have yet to remember the name of... We also spent some time going through the five positions again. All in all, it was really fun if somewhat reaaaally painful. I also asked my dance teacher about a few things before class started, such as stretching and such at home, but we reached the conclusion that I should just take it slow and wait until I feel I know what I'm doing in class first. So yeah. Tomorrow I'm going shopping with mom so I'll see if I can pick up a sweater and see if I can find any decent leg warmers... Until next time! //DD

Dance went absolutely fine! I had no reason to be worried, it seems, ahah. The teacher is amazing and the rest of the students were nice! My feet hurt all through the lesson, since it’s the first time I used those shoes, but I guess it’ll wear off after some time. I am a little bit worries about how my awful posture and weak muscles will affect my progress, but I’m hoping for the best here. I’m also thinking of lightly stretching at home once in a while… See if that helps. Well, I guess that’s all for this today! I’ll have that damn video up tomorrow for sure! Until next time! //DD
