I knew Aaron is the perfect fit for Zoey but watching them fit perfectly in the show feels surreal because they are honestly written well? Zoey is so much better with Aaron. She’s canonly influenced by him in a good way. They’ve never fought. Been together for 7-8 months and they’ve been perfectly fine where other relationships on this show fight or complain about their significant other right out the gate. When have I ever won like this?

The way Aaron is getting the best version of Zoey and it’s because of him. They’re good together. Always knew it.

I will never understand people quoting moments from Grown-ish with think pieces and essays. They’re critiquing it like it’s leading the Emmy noms and they don’t understand. It’s just a fun show. Grown-ish is not deep. It’s a 20 minute comedy. It’s a fun watch for what it is and the writers and actors aren’t taking themselves serious and think they are the pinnacle of media in the 21st century. People really think they are doing something putting all these criticism,  expectations and requirements on something that never asked to be any of it. They’re literally asking them to be more serious and their final points are why aren’t they tackling this and that and joking around….

Because it’s a comedy.

Why do people think the new audience influenced the writers to go into the direction of Spelivia when they were clear as day from the pilot? Who thought Olivia would have a one sided crush on Spencer forever? Who thought Spencer wasn’t feeling Olivia at all when 1x04 happened. She pulled away from HIM because Jordan thought there had to be another reason why their father was bringing him around and Spencer literally acknowledged he thought Olivia was feeling him and it turned out to be nothing (because she pulled away). It was always building to them. Especially considering the second half of the second season was about a very single Spencer leaning more towards Olivia after the shooting and ended on them being alone together for the summer. Nobody watched that and thought nothing was going to happen while they were alone for the entire summer. Because two people that obviously like each other are alone together.

That was before the series took off the way it did on Netflix. 3A was the result of what was already building. Theres something between Spencer and Olivia and something happened during summer. Nothing changed for anything.

VERY true. Anyone with eyes could see these two would happen FROM THE VERY FIRST MEETING. I don’t know why some have so much trouble with storytelling 101. Like they act STUCK when the distraction ship fizzles and the OTP rises. What EXACTLY did y’all think this was?!
