From 2015-2016, Johnna Kingsway, was in a relationship with Marissa Epps, which ended mutually, as it had become toxic.
from 2016-2018, and again briefly in 2020, Kingsway dated, Leighan Baker, which they ended, as it had become loveless.
from 2018-2020, they were in a relationship, with Victoria "Tori." Mullins, who took her own life, in 2020. Executioner's mini album, "The world is out to get me." was dedicated to her.
From 2020-2022, they dated, Brenda Vega, the relationship ended, when Kingsway found out she had been cheating on them, with someone else.
In 2022, Johnna Kingsway, met Nataly Ramirez, and in August, they began a relationship. On May 14th, 2025, they proposed to Ramirez, and she accepted. They are planning to tie the knot, on August 27th, 2026, in Asbury, Alabama, the same place where they first met.
Johnna Kingsway has been open, about their struggles with mental illness, in the form of, Autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, dissociative identity disorder, and dependent personality disorder.
Kingsway, stated that they see a therapist, and have since March, but had also seen three, others in the past, in between 2020, and 2024.
They also, revealed that songwriting, is how they cope with, and process, difficult feelings, and situations, they have a close support team, through their bandmates, and family, but they cut ties with their parents in 2025, after years of physical, emotional, mental, and verbal abuse, and revealed they had a dysfunctional relationship, with them, that will be further explored, in their upcoming book, "Daddy issues." and had also been expressed, on their 2024, album, "Hideous." Johnna Kingsway, has confirmed that they are a Christian, and first came to know the lord, in 2014, at the age of eight, and was raised in Church, however in 2020, they stopped believing, and went away from God, until 2023/24, where they repaired their relationship with God, and has stated they don't plan, on falling away again, anytime soon. Kingsway also has revealed many times, that they have a strong passion for the mental health of minors, especially teens, due to the increase of teen suicides over the past, several years. Johnna Kingsway has also battled addiction, and was addicted to painkillers, from 2020-2023, when they got clean, and was also an alcoholic, from 2020-2025, and is currently one month's sober, having been in rehab from July to September.
They have also battled masturbation addiction, from 2018-2025, but has relapsed, due to the dark place, they are currently in mentally and is trying to get clean again. Johnna Kingsway revealed that during their relationship, with Karisa Briest, they were obsessed with her, but got over this, in April of 2025, due to its effects on other areas, of their life. Kingsway was also previously obsessed with a girl named, Savannah, in high school, and stated that the situation with, Briest, has damaged them mentally, to an extreme extent, and they are currently trying to heal from it, and is writing a book, about her, entitled, "The angel from my nightmare." that will be published, in 2026. Johnna Kingsway is bi-gender, and identifies as both male, and female, and has also felt uncomfortable with themselves, from an early age, but upon discovering their gender identity, they feel much better about it, and is planning to get plastic surgery done in the future, to look more like a cross between male, and female. Kingsway has also stated they had feelings for another male, in the past, but chose not to tell them, out of fear it would damage the friendship, already established. It is unclear, who the individual is, but many have speculated that it could be, Leonardo Rodriguez, also known as DamienTK, the bassist, and co-lead vocalist, of Behind the sunrise, but this has not been confirmed.
