What would you do if you had a second chance? A do-over? It may seem like a cliche question, but with the introduction of serum MO1315, another shot at making things right isn't too far from reality. Unfortunately, it's like the saying goes. Once a killer, always a killer, right?... Dangan Ronpa: Revival of the Fittest is a submission based Dangan Ronpa roleplay group! This rp involves characters that have already been executed, whether this was in your own au or a separate dr rp! Have fun despairing, again!~
Mari barely watched Huang. Her eyes were focused on Rin the entire time, and she instantly pulled her into his arms. She glanced to where Huang had just disappeared from and tightened her arms.
She had messed up.
"R... Shiho, let's go. I'm going to protect you."
Her arms held him tighter, and she looked at the others in the trial, somewhat a glare as if warning them not to hurt Rin. Both herself and Rin had just lost Huang. She wasn't about to let Rin lose his life... or let herself lose him. She would protect him.
Huang’s soft sobs slowly escalate, as the class feels the time for Extraction growing nearer. The boy covers his face with his hands, crying out pitifully,
“I don’t wanna die!!! Hic- P-Please!!! I’ll do anything!!”
Although his pleas are slurred an his speech is frequently interrupted with hiccups, Huang’s cries for help are still discernible. It’s incredibly hard to watch, especially as Monten-cchi chooses to ignore them all.
“P-P-Please don’t be such a baby! Y-Your classmate Salem was even brave enough to to to try and- hmm- ahh- to try and run! It’s disappointing to see you s-sit there and cry- cry- ahhh- cry like that.”
Monten-cchi raises a paw and motions toward’s Huang’s podium, from which Huang immediately ducks away. The ground rumbles, and...
“CRASH!!!”
Up comes the extraction chamber in a cloud of debris.
It’s now when Huang gets frantic, hiding behind the other students and having an even harder time than before trying to speak through his sobs,
“Hic!- Please P-Please don’t kill me!! Hic!- I d-didn’t mean to kill him I- Hic!- He was my best friend an’ I- Hic!- Please don’ make me go in there!!”
He weeps,
“Someone save me!! Hic!- I don’ wanna go in there!!! W-waahh!! Rin-ah! Vik-ah!! H-Hina-ah!!!”
Before he can say any more, three large clamps snake their way towards Huang, cutting him off suddenly by taking ahold of him and rendering him immobile.
“GCH!!-”
They drag him towards the chamber, tossing him inside and slamming the door in his face. The tank immediately begins to rumble, and Huang presses his hands to the inside of the small viewing window,
“H-Hina... I’ll see Hina didi again... It’s- hic- It’s okay, he... I’ll be fine! Hic!- I’ll be fine!!! W-Waaahh!!”
There’s a sudden flash, and a loud, ear-wrenching cry,
“AIYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”
Huang’s body deteriorates, melting before everyone’s eyes and causing the class to gaze on in sheer terror. No matter how many times they viewed this, each extraction seemed to be more terrifying than the last. Huang’s gooey, half-melted hand slams against the window, and his desperate gurgles can still be heard over the sound of the chamber for a few moments,
“Gcchh.... Haghhh...!!!!”
Then, he’s gone, as if the whole extraction was some horrifying hallucination. the room is silent, the chamber is still, and everyone waits in the suffocating lack of sound for the door to open up.
After a minute or two it finally unlatches with a hiss, leaving only...
A crumpled pair of socks and sandals.
“Congratulations, everyone! Another j-j-job well done! Done!”
It was a close vote. A very close vote. In the end, however, the murderer was convicted at last- Huang Zhu.
There are mixed feelings throughout what’s left of the students- some are heartbroken, others are indifferent, some even seem to want the whole thing done and over with already. The student’s voices raise, but before too much commotion can be caused, an unfortunately familiar voice makes itself heard over them all.
Monten-cchi hops up on top of their little stand, thumping their foot roughly and calling for order. The shouting among the students settles, causing the fluffy android rabbit to twitch their nose with triumph.
“Th-th-that’s more like it! Like it! Like it! Another s-s-successful murder case solved! You you you- ahh- y- hmm... you all have done an excellent job, now lllll... lllllet’s tally up the the votes! Ahh- votes!”
They give the voting machine a little kick, and it begins to spin in that same old slot-machine style.
There it is.
The class goes silent. It had been so hard to believe that all of this was happening again, but the votes were the final step before it... really started. Monten-cchi is the only one who seems absolutely thrilled with the results, and they clap their little paws together to show just how enthusiastic they are.
“Good job, y-y-you all! I was worried for a moment that you were going to pick the wrong person, b-b-b-but you got it! Got it! Got it! This boy h-here is the killer! Now... time to get on with with with- ahhh- get on with...”
“Huang Xiaozhu’s best m-m-m- ahh- moments!!”
The same sinking feeling of dread fills the air as the monitor makes its way down. Each time it seems to be descending slower and slower, almost as if the tension is made to rise with each execution. What horrible images will there be to witness this time?
Huang, who had previously been sobbing in a crumpled mess, shakily looks up towards the screen....
The scene unfolds- it’s dark at first, but as lights begin to flash on one by one Huang Zhu can be seen standing on an enormous stage, tons of faceless, unrecognizable fans massing together in the crowd. Huang looks different- he’s wearing an outfit long since abandoned. a gaudy, bright, and colorful outfit from his days as a host. The boy looks bewildered and frightened, when suddenly, a large metal chair comes up from underneath him and snaps him into place. He struggles, but it’s clear there’s no way for Huang to escape.
The chair begins to move towards the middle of the stage, where a strange black cat dressed up in an even stranger suit sits in front of a host’s desk, brandishing a devilish grin. He beckons for Huang to make himself comfortable, before beginning to ask him a question. It’s hard to make out on the low-quality monitor, but you can hear it faintly....
“Why are you such a failure of a human?”
Huang seems apalled by the question, and subsequently denies this. It’s then that the strange cat presses a button, and a large spike juts out from the metal seat, skewering right through Huang’s thigh. He screams and writhes, obviously in incredible pain, and the cat at the host’s desk purrs. The crowd cheers, and Huang begins to sob.
Question after question, spike after spike. Each question seems to offend him more than the last, and each one brings a new spike to impale his remaining leg and both of his arms.
Now almost unconscious with agony, the cat asks Huang one last question.
Unfortunately, it isn’t audible to the rest of the class, but Huang seems to remember exactly what it was.
After this, the cat presses the button again, and one last spike slices its way out through Huang’s mouth from the back of the chair, killing him instantly.
The video shuts off, and the monitor ascends. Even the tense, unbearable silence following the clip has become familiar. It only breaks once Huang’s soft, fearful sobs echo through the trial room,
Yep. It’s about time that the trial happened. Whether you had gotten emotional over the death of the roboticist, or had gotten straight down to business - it didn’t matter in the end. The case seemed...confusing, to say the least, can you figure it out!
“H-hey! Guys! Y-you’ve been s-s-standing around for w-way too l-long! Don’t y-you think it’s a-about time we got to the interesting part? G-go ahead and make your w-w-way to the trial room!”
Everyone makes their way to the trial room, not really wanting to indulge in the rabbit’s wishes - but, hey. What can you do. You take your spot at your podium, sighing.
(From top right clockwise:
Arata,Kris, Shinobu, Salem, Kakure, Mari, Huang, Flora, Viktor, Mika, Hoku, Honoka, Rinkaku, Shion, Midori, Callisto)
Monten-cchi took their position in the middle, before saying the same thing they do every time.
“L-Let’s get started! H-hheh-heh! Begin, everyone!”
No Time For Character Development | Ch.3 Body Discovery | Arata | OPEN
Arata wasn't having the nicest time in the world. Lots of complicated thoughts. Very. Complicated. After the time everyone spent at the pool, Arata's outlook on everyone was starting to change...again. He was getting some comforting words from a few others, but wasn't sure what everyone else would think of him. That, however, is not relevant when a scream is coming from the hare common room right now. It was Mari, which immediately caught Arata's attention as he rushed over.
There was a slight numbness floating around in his head when he walked out of the room and into the commons. Viktor laid there dead and there was nothing he could do about it. Did no one around here have any semblance of sanity left? There wasn't an immediate expression that crossed his face, however, he turned away from the body. He wanted to be in denial about the death of Viktor, but there wasn't any other way of looking at this.
"Dammit..." He mumbled, removing his glasses to rub the bridge of his nose a little.
Even after everything he said, this of all things happened...Rinkaku had to leave the room in order to think properly. The library wasn't too far away and it was always quiet. That's where he sat down and cried fo the loss of a friend.
"I'm sorry.."
Guess What's Back, Back Again, Murder's Back, Tell A- Oh | Kris | Re: Body
“VIK-AH!!!!!!!!!– VIK-AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Oh, he certainly heard the yelling all right. Hard to miss it when one of your best friends has their heart metaphorically ripped from their chest, but it wasn't like Kris could do much to comfort him...At least, quite yet.
For the uninformed, Kris had sustained quite the back injury in the course of his unfortunate...punishment. Okay, that one was entirely his fault, but the result was that when Kris tried to get out of bed, he promptly fell to the ground, cursing in pain. Seeing as how he had to get out, he started pulling himself along. He also paid attention to his Electro-ID, seeing who the poor unfortunate soul was in the Rabbit Commons before the scream rang out.
Being already in a lot of pain, the only emotion he could muster as he stopped dragging was dismay.
"Oh for crying out loud...Three times in a row already, have we learnt nothing from their mistakes?" He closed his eyes, bringing his hands together. Whispering a quick prayer for Viktor's dearly departed soul, he resumed the arduous process of dragging himself to the Hare Commons.
From 1 Dead Inside Kid to Another | Callisto | Body Reaction
Callisto could count a very small number of people in here xe considered friends. Xe liked everyone well enough, but there were few xe actually felt friendship for. And so far, thankfully, xer friends had been safe. That was everything xe could ask for. Even if xe died, as long as xe had them.
So xer stomach dropped as soon as xe saw the body. Xer mind went blank. The jellyfish expert didn't know how to react. It was as if in that moment...nothing happened. Xe didn't cry or scream. Xe just...stared. Viktor Asimov was dead. There was nothing xe could do. It was..a sight.
And finally xer mind collected itself long enough for xem to say..one simple word.
Body Reaction || Huang Zhu || All my friends are dead.
Upon seeing the body, Huang froze. It was a reaction that seemed similar to the body discoveries before it, but... soon, it changes. Huang collapses, and as he does, he begins to frantically drag himself over to the body. It’s incredibly pathetic, just how quickly he seems to break down. He’d been worrying about this moment for so, so long, and the fact that it had come true was.. well,
his current state was definitely an accurate representation of that.
“Hgh!!--............ hHahh!!!!--........”
Huang barely seemed to be able to let out anything as he knelt by the boy, clutching him until his knuckles turned white. He appeared to be letting out some sort of silent scream, similar to the kind in nightmares: a cry for help that you just can’t seem to get out.
Violently shaking and grasping desperately onto the boy, his screams gradually become more audible. The loud cries are barely decipherable, but they sound vaguely like Chinese, with Viktor’s name wailed in between. It doesn’t look like Huang is going to be okay any time soon- he appears to be breaking down completely.
Cruel Awaken | Mari | Chapter 3 Body Discovery | Attn: Huang, Rinkaku (Not really a starter?)
Peace and quiet. Kris had said no news was good news. Mari... didn't believe that. No news meant things would relax... Relaxing meant that people would be hit harder when the death eventually came.
And came it did. Mari had gotten up early-ish to head out to the Art Room, as was her routine but she was stopped dead in her tracks.
"Viktor... Everyone! Everyone wake up!"
She shouted instantly, turning back to her room and getting Huang and Rinkaku. She made sure that the Hares at least awakened first. She then quickly checked the chat, mostly so she could inform the Rabbits of the murder.
"Fuck."
Her attention turned back to the two guys she had in tow, and she knew full well she was more panicked about their well-being than the fact there was a dead body. She was sad about Viktor. Very sad in fact. She had trusted Viktor to care for Shinobu, and wanted to help him but... he seemed so closed off to her. Instead she backed off. On top of it all, she had enough worries with dealing with herself that it had eventually became such a small thing.
And she felt awful. She wished Viktor had had someone to turn to.
Body Discovery || Another Cog in the Murder Machine
It was clear that the motive had had everyone on edge. This one in particular... the thought of seeing someone you loved again, or even brought back to life- it was too good to be true, wasn’t it? It was apparent to everyone, however, just how possible it was, considering their circumstances. Thusly, after the motive, everyone had gotten a bit more... tense.
Unfortunately, that air wasn’t about to get any friendlier any time soon.
It’s Mari’s shouting that wakes you up in the morning- that alone tells you something’s amiss. You’re pretty sure you know exactly what it is, and as those in the Hare Commons find out first, your suspicions are correct.
Viktor’s lifeless, bloody body greets you, with a panicked expression on his face. He seems to be messily swaddled in toilet paper- not nearly enough to keep the blood from seeping through, and his body is pale and cold. A few of you scream- most of the victims you’ve seen so far haven’t been nearly this.. dramatic.
Almost as soon as everyone comes across the body, a small hum echoes throughout the room. It’s Monten-cchi.....
“W-Wowee! Finally! One of you r-r-reeeeeaally did a number on th-th-that guy, huh? huh? I guess you’ll have toooooo have toooo st-start investigating! I hope y-y-you got a good night’s ssssssss night’s sssssleep, because- aahh- because th-this guy sure didn’t! Eehe-hhahaha-hah-aah!”
With a wrinkling of their nose and a twitch of their tail, they bound away and leave everyone to their own devices. You’d hoped and prayed that it wouldn’t have had to come to this, but it looks like you have no choice.
A pit of fear builds in the stomachs of your fellow students as you hear Monten-cchi’s voice ring out harshly from the Student ID’s speaker. They seem to be quite annoyed, but considering how grainy and low-quality the sound from the speaker is, it’s actually fairly hard to tell. As you make your way down to the foyer, you can see Monten-cchi standing near the fountain, thumping their bunny foot impatiently.
“I swear, how many time h-have I had to to to tell- hmm- tell you all about thhhh thhhe rules! They’re p-plain as day in yyyy in your Student ID’s! Ahh- hmm- yes! I s-s-suppose a more ssssssevere punishment is in in in in- ahh- in order. It’s why I’ve caaaaalllleeeed you all hhh hhere in th-the first place! Place!”
Oh dear. You wonder just what cruel, torturous penalization has been dealt this time. Monten-cchi’s expression turns from one of annoyance, to one of glee, and they bop their paws together with a hum.
“W-Why don’t you all t-t-t-take a llll a look at you ID’s f-f-for for just a mmm- aahhh- mmmoment! I’m sure sure sure you’ll be interested in wwwww wwwhat- aaah- in just what’s happened this time~”
One by one you each begin to look down at your Student ID’s, only to gasp in shock and what’s depicted. The feed is a bit fuzzy, but...
It’s definitely Kris, tied up and barely visible in what appears to be a darkened, enclosed space. He isn’t moving- you assume that he might be unconscious. You can hear Monten-cchi giggling over the sound of your own frightened murmuring,
“Th-That’s what happens when you reveal thhhhheeee- ahh- the murder details of s-s-s-someone’s ffff- someone else’s file! File! File! Hehh-ehahah-ehhah.... He should’ve saved that b-b-big mouth for a t-t-t-t-t- hmmm- ahhh- t-time when he’d need it! Like nnn nnow! It would b-be a blessing to be aaaaable to to to scream ffff scream for- hmmm- for help, because if you all don’t find him in the the the the- ahhh- no- before bedtime tonight, he’ll be breaking another r-rule. Being out of his d-dorm p-p-p-past 10:30! F-find him quickly, now, or I’ll just hhhh hhave to kill him!~ G-Gooooooood luck! Luck!”
Monten-cchi hops away, leaving all of you in a state of panic. There was only a limited amount of time to find Kris, and if you didn’t save him....
((You now have 4 hours to find Kris Tenshi before he gets killed! Good luck!))
What was that noise? It’s just barely night time and it’s coming from outside of the Rabbit Common Room.
But before you can check it out, it turns 10:30 PM. Looks like it’s too late to check it out anyway…
…
It’s morning now, and the door to the Rabbit Commons won’t budge. What the heck?! How are the Rabbit kids supposed to leave now?
…Actually, it’s not that much of an issue. Anyone looking at it from the foyer can see that someone duct taped the Rabbit door shut. And it’s not just near the doorknob either, it’s all over the edges of the door. Who could’ve done this, I wonder?
Midori was covered in cheese. What the everloving fuck.
Well, for those who don't pay attention to the group chat (and you kids at home reading along!) Midori had a... fight. A cheese fight, actually. Now, I don't know if you know this, but filling 2 water guns with liquid cheese was a recipe for FUN! And a mess... She needed to wash off!
After her shower, she started to mil about a bit. She was seen having fun, yes, but, if any of you saw her a little while after, she seemed really dejected, like a mixture of sorrow, yet thoughtfulness. What was going on? You decided to investigate. Eventually though, she catches wind of you. As she turns around, you see she's been crying pretty bad.
Ah... Hey... I uuh...
She immediately takes her hat off and uses it to wipe her tears away. She giggles a little bit to cheer herself up as she faces you, her hat now back in her hand.
Aaaah, Uuh, Hi there! Sorry, you uuh, caught me at a but of a bad time, but im ok! Don't you worry about me!
All signs of her being sad and crying have completely vanished from her face. She is smiling brightly at you, and is rubbing her arm.
So whats someone like you doing in the hallways? Where are you off to?
