Aether. Named after what was believed to be the universe’s lifeforce, this town- once probably beatiful- has sunk deep into an abyss of water.

And, of course, you, a student of Hope’s Peak Academy, have now awoken here, finding yourself trapped in this mysterious town

With only one way out- murdering one of your classmates- will you be able to resist and surface again, or will you crumble, and drown in your broken hopes?

Advenient Deliquium is a new Dangan Ronpa roleplay taking inspiration from the likes of Fallout and Bioshock, In the fallen underwater city of Aether- in the heart of an abandoned research facility full of mystery- you will have to fight for your life in a Killing Game filled with despair and death.

After an earthquake, stay away from damaged buildings until building inspectors say it’s safe to enter.

When it is safe, enter during the daytime only so you can see hazards. Wear protective clothing during cleanup, and avoid wading in water to reduce injuries. 

Leave immediately if you hear unusual noises.

Remember: pace yourself during cleanup, you wouldn’t want to end up getting hurt…

What makes an app "good"? What do you take into consideration when looking to see who would be good on the roster?

What an awesome question. 

I can’t speak for all the mods but I can give you what I look for, and I can guess the other mods will agree.

The top 3 things I look for are

-Are they multi-dimensional/nuanced? (Nobody sent us a flat character, but characters we really liked were like cakes, ogres and onions. They got layers and a lot of them. )

-Does the character bring something fresh to the table?(As a GM, I can tell you if I had an entire party of people brooding in corners I’d tear my damn hair out. It’s not quite as severe here, but people with overlapping and similar personalities usually have a bit more scrutiny because we had to figure out which differentiations were ‘better’)

-Visible effort put in, which is a bit vague but the former two are usually because of this one. A character who was well thought out and given the proper tender loving care usually stands out.

Other things I like to see are some experience(but that’s not necessary, and indeed a lot of people who are apping seem to be new, which is awesome. It just helps establish reliability, since we’ve had games drop out due to people leaving or just vanishing off the radar), Unique concepts/backstories(This is actually different from multi-dimensional and nuanced characters, you can definitely have someone who’s unique but a bit 2d) and ease of communication(This one doesn’t have to do with the character but it is MUCH easier for us if we can get a hold of the applicant then if we can’t.)

Again, I can’t speak for all the mods, but those are what comes to mind. As long as someone is willing to put the love, effort and time into both making a well-thought-out character as well as playing them as such, we definitely can see it in your app.

I was about to post my application when I realised it said something about “western order”, could you explain to me what that means? Sorry if this is a stupid question… I’m referring to (Name (Legal) (western order)), in case you were wondering, haha. Thank you!

In certain countries such as China or Japan, family name comes before given name. For example, the name “Satou Hina” would be “Hina of the Satou family.” For ease, we call this “Eastern order.” This contrasts countries such as France or Germany, which have given name followed by family name. For example, “Jane Smith” would be “Jane of the Smith family.” For ease, we call this “Western order.”

do monomachine items have to be something our character would like? or can it be whatever we want to throw in there (following the guidelines of course)

It doesn’t have to be something that they like, but something related to them. For example, La Madeline au Truffe for a Patissier, a Rose Whip for a goth-loli like Celes, a pair of rigged dice for somebody with a bad luck streak... Again, though, no Super De Duper Doo International Weapons Smugglers with M16s falling out of their pockets.
