The Textual, Tactile, Tittilating, Tantrum-ridden, Totally multimedia musings & sometime portfolio of Dangerfield Newby, by and through is instrument on Earth, Christopher Alan Chambers. Newby died in 1859 in John Brown's raid on the federal company town of Harpers Ferry. White townspeople fed his dead body to pigs. He joined Brown to forstall the sale of his wife, not to start a revolution. And in dying, he started a revolution. His body's long disintegrated into loam; his consciousness survives in bits and bytes. Enjoy. Engage. Enrage. Chambers is alive, of course, and lives 80 miles from Harpers Ferry in Washington DC. He teaches at Georgetown University, contributes to RT America, MSNBC and Smithsonian Magazine.

The bar is so low that a black man being genuinely kind to a black boy is a headline news story. Its kinda sad when you think about it. Wanted their bonus for fighting, bleeding…catching a killer flu as bad as ‘rona. Motherfuckers in charge then were just the ancestors of the shit we got now. They called these men and their families bums, communists…and with a few brothas marching with them the southerners who ran this city called them nigger-lovers. Hoover, he just called out the Army. Not the cops, not FBI. The Army. Chased them across the river to here, where they’d set up camp. Dudes they served with in France…beat them, ran them down with cavalry…yeah, back in the day before lots of tanks. Eisenhower and MacArthur were in charge. Heroes, right?
