I, overall, feel very mixed on this finale. If I'm being completely honest, if they had just died and we didn't get that bullshit 'them but not them' manufactured happy ending I think I would have an easier time swallowing it. I'm not against endings where things don't work out, where there are losses for our main characters in service of greater gains for the world but idk... I kind of feel like I've been spit in the face by them trying to serve me an ending with characters I don't actually know. I feel as though there was no real goodbye for the characters nor for us as the audience, saying goodbye to the story we've loved for seven years. I still laughed, I still aw'd, I still smiled and frowned but I feel as though I'm missing something. It simultaneously felt as if they were placating us and taking away everything we wanted. I suppose, in a way, that's human
