Daniel moaned softly slowly coming out of the darkness he’d slipped into after being forced to relive his accident. The light seemed too bright when he opened his eyes too quickly, yet he noticed that he wasn’t in the kitchen anymore. “Cl-Clark?” He asked carefully opening his eyes slowly this time seeing his husband come into view looking completely scared and worried “I’m sorry....” He replied softly not wishing to sit up just yet as he tried to collect his jumbled thoughts while reaching out to touch the other’s fingertips like he’d done when the other was in the hospital getting his bandages off. “I remembered....David”

Description: Daniel is Triggered by The Attack Issue of the Daily Bugle sparking the memory of his attack which led to his Memory loss.

Triggers: Body Horror, Gore, Massacre, Mental Breakdown, 

Daniel could tell even though he’d gotten into the routine of things around the house that things still seemed strained due to his lack of memory. He was doing well with Buster but then again, the boy was still a child and was always eager to help his father whenever he could but Clark....why was everything so much harder with Clark. Nothing seemed to snap his memory back into place, no matter how many hours he spent pouring his life through pictures and writings, he couldn’t remember who he used to be? At times he felt hopeless and loss to the point where he ever wondered why Clark even put up with him, the man always looked so hurt especially while in mid-story only to look up and realize that Daniel wouldn’t remember a single thing.  Today was no different as they woke up in their separate rooms to start the day, it was always a whirlwind in the morning with getting Buster ready for school ensuring he had a proper lunch to last him the day as well as cleaning up the remnants of their shared breakfast.

With Clark out the door with Buster on their way to drop him off at school Daniel was finally left alone to deal with cleaning the house. He found he didn’t mind being alone in the morning, something about it made him worry that maybe moving here had been such a huge mistake on his part. Knowing he had limited time to get the kitchen cleaned after the flurry of activity it was just sustained, Daniel began moving on autopilot as he cleaned and ensured that everything had been taken care of before unfolding the Newspaper, he hadn’t actually had a chance to read before getting his family out the door. He felt himself freeze holding his cooling cup of coffee away from his face as he started reading about the attack. He shook his head wondering why he suddenly felt strange, he sighed shutting his eyes and setting his coffee cup down before shaking off the weird feeling to continue reading about the Bugle Massacre.

Fear began to stir within his stomach as he looked at the pictures matching the words with the attack. Meta-human.... bodies stuck in walls, pieces of people littering the floors. It started out as flashes, the pictures on the paper matching with something else he’d seen. He felt his head began to pound with pain as the flashes came faster and more insistent. The pain only seemed to worsen as he tried to quell it by holding his head, the flashes taking more shape making something of a pictured memory. He felt himself gasp when he’d finally pieced together why the images had instilled such fear in him. In a blink of an eye, he saw everything, him enjoying a sweet conversation with Clark before the imminent attack. the hippie dressed male that disintegrated his teammates to nothing but spatters of blood. Bodies melded within the walls of the bus, the man who’d begged for his life who was met with nothing but a smile and death. His failed attempt at taking down the assailant only to have his will take from him with a single word. Demanding Information that he’d refused to give before taking it upon himself to destroy his life and taking the one thing in the world that meant the most to him.

He’d been so lost in the memories he didn’t notice the tears falling freely down his face or the sound of the door being opened, or his name being shouted. The pain in his head had gotten so bad that he felt like a jackhammer, he felt himself scream begging things to stop, to just stop that he couldn’t take it anymore. He could barely register Clark’s worried voice before he clasped to the floor blacking out. He was lost to a reply of his horrific memories of the male....No this David who’d ruined his life.
