I need to do more fanart. I actually love fanart in general but I'm always so insecure when I try to do them myself...

Life has been pretty much the same. Working a lot (way more than I should, to be honest) and sketching when I can. I admit I've been missing having time to do art for myself and just myself. Not just sketches, but complex, finished pieces. It's been years since I did something like that. Nowadays I only have time for quick sketches and studies. And also some occasional crochet and embroidery.

On a good note, I was finally able to buy a new iPad. (And it's pink!) I was saving money for months just for that, since I use it a lot for work and my other one was already giving me a headache.

I also went to visit my friend, who is also an artist and helped her with a new video she's making. That was probably the highlight of my last month 🥲. Besides that I basically just worked everyday.

The only "news" I actually do have is I decided to venture myself and finally started writing a story. I've always loved comics and webtoons so I'm considering trying to make one myself and publish online. Making a graphic novel was always one of my biggest dreams, but I'm going to start with something small, maybe some one-shots and see how it goes from there. I am in fact also working on a bigger and more complicated story as well, but that one still needs a lot of work and it will probably take some years to polish.

Anyway, I don't have much else to share. An illustrator's life unfortunately is not that exciting.

Life has been pretty chill lately. It's really cold where I live, and I've been working mostly during the night so i don't know how I didn't get sick yet. But it's so much more peaceful to work at night.

There are many projects I have no permission to post yet, but I also have some daily studies and sketches. I also got back to embroidery recently and I have to admit, I'm pretty much obsessed. I've been thinking about all the possibilities of applying not only in clothes, but in my art as well. I did some artworks during college mixing illustration with textile and I think I want to explore that again.

I also finally got to watch Backrooms and Obsession. I loved both of them. Obsession I think has a superior script. It's extremely well made, and the performances are outstanding. Especially the two leads. But Backrooms definitely inspired me more. It creates such a rich universe, with so much depth and symbolism... We are definitely being well fed with horror lately!

I'm really happy with this one. I had already done the first edition version some years ago, but now the author asked me for a update, since she will be relaunching the book in hardcover version!

THIS IS NOT AI! I don't know why people are thinking this isn't a real drawing, but I made it all from scratch 🥲. Maybe it's because of the style? The client choose this style of rendering. But I made everything myself!

Seriously, I hate AI! Even my real drawings now are being mistaken for this garbage!

I haven't been posting here much because I don't have many new drawings to show, unfortunately 🥲. Almost all of what I've been working on are commissions that I can post yet, so here are some records from my past weeks. I started to do embroidery again after years and I'm honestly shocked at how I completely forgot how to do it right. But I've been dying to do something that doesn't involve drawing.

I also watched the Brazil x Morocco game with my friends. The game itself was honestly pretty boring. I don't like soccer very much. But at least I had fun with them and ate a ton!
