“God, Bora Bora maybe?”

“I’d say Darren dying, except.. that would be heartbreaking in and of itself. I can’t say I’d erase anything.”

“I wouldn’t mind be taller.. or I’d like to be one of those people who use a planner.”

“Oh God.. uhm, can i hold onto it and save it for later? Seems a bit in bad taste considering what happened recently…”

“Either fill up my fridge or just go and have a great night out.”

“Probably my dad..”

27.  An angel appears out of Heaven and offers you a lifetime supply of the alcoholic beverage of your choice. “Be brand-specific” it says. Man! What are you gonna say about that? Even if you don’t drink booze there’s something you can figure out… so what’s it gonna be?

“Wow uh. 1800 silver tequila I guess. Even though that’s not like super top shelf, I haven’t gotten to try those.”

“ ‘D’? that sounds lame.”

“That’s all it is, a mask!!” She laughs, rolling her eyes heavily at her friend as she plays along. “It doesn’t determine the lifestyle that I lead. I like foxes, but not enough to physically be one. That’s just fucking creepy and you know it, Abbott.” With the amount of alcohol in her system, Maeve then could only laugh more as Danielle gives her a straight face. It was impressive. Shifting though her small, round satchel quickly, Maeve pulls out a hair tie and pass it to Danielle if she wanted it. After both brother’s departures, Maeve took to partying (other than witchcraft) to keep herself busy. Years of parties taught her how to be prepared to the simplest item. She’s ready to put her own hair up pretty soon herself. She didn’t mind the heat. In fact, she welcomed the few locks of hair that sticked to her skin. To the fire witch it was evidence that she was having a good time, but she would feel bad if she started throwing her long hair in a strangers mouth. Plus, it was gross. “Yeah you did! Would it be too bold to say that you shoud take that route more often?” She grins widley, baring teeth. “Of course it is. It’s a look my mom wouldn’t approve of.” She laughs, the sound is warm and loud. 

Danielle took the hair tie gratefully, sighing into an appreciative grin as she pulled her long red hair back into a high messy ponytail. Even the small amount of air on her neck increased her comfort considerably, and she really should have thought to bring one herself. “God I should take you every time I go out,” she laughed. Danielle was lucky if she remembered her ID and credit cards when changing her purse, let alone having a hair tie and who knew what else in that small satchel Maeve carried. “You liiike it?” Danielle asked in a teasing, singsong tone as she danced around the taller girl playfully. “I could possibly take that advice.. have I finally hit ‘girl you don’t take home to your mother’ status? Who needs a sexy witch costume when you’ve got two prime examples here in the flesh?”

Henryk stretched his lips into a grin at how obviously distracted the ginger was by the girls’ performance. “Three — Three pull ups?!” It was baffling, he couldn’t help but chuckle. “Now that’s just embarrassing. You gotta work on that. Can you even drive stick with those little noodle arms?”

“Yes, three. and I’d say that’s an accomplishment,” Danielle shrugged with a smile. She’d been a little preoccupied learning her craft to jump into school sports and whatnot. “Yes, I can, thank you very much,” she had to interject. “What kind of car are you driving that you need super strength?”

Avery couldn’t help but follow the girls giggle. A classic costume all in its own; she looked down to her own clothing a simple 1940′s style borrowed from Magdalena’s closet. The woman’s comment kept the smile on her lips. “I’m not sure,” she tapped a finger to her temple, “it’s..uh, a wild place up there but surprisingly accurate description.” Avery was well aware how bad her rhythm was despite her love for watching people dance. “What about you?”

“I’ll accept that,” Danielle shook her head, amused by the blonde beside her. She admired her costume, seemingly a decade piece considering the old style but still classy in its own right. in pretty big opposition to what Danielle wore, but it wasn’t a competition. “Typically I’m a stay on the ground kind of person, but I could be convinced to give it a shot.”

The taller of the two shook her head, followed by the scrunch of her nose. “You were expecting more fur!?” She repeats, making sure she heard Danielle correctly. “I’m a witch on Halloween, Dani, not a furry,” Maeve says and lifts the fox mask, pushing it ontop of her head to show her friend the playful roll of her eyes. “God, no. I’ve been here since quarter past ten.” She says to make a point; she’s been here for awhile and when there’s a party, there was no one stopping her from going all out. “Darling, I’m wasted.” Maeve smiles widley, teeth and all. “And look at you!” She then exclaims as she takes a step back from Danielle in order to look at her costume. “You look so good! Christian Bale, who?”

“You’re the one with a fox mask on!” Danielle protested lightly, nudging Maeve’s arm  just before the taller red head pushed the mask back off of her face. In Danielle’s opinion, that was much better anyway- why hide that face? “And hey- I dunno what you’re into, but I don’t judge. you can be honest with your furry tendencies, babe.” She almost couldn’t hold a straight face as she said the words aloud, but she did manage somehow.  “Oh goooood,” Danielle sighed happily, glad she wouldn’t be the only witch going wild that night. Maeve took a step back to look at her costume and Danielle did a slightly ungraceful twirl, soaking up the praise as her wavy hair spun around her face. She combed it back with her fingers before piling it all over one shoulder.   Hair could be quite hot on a crowded dance floor. “I went the, uh, tight route but look at you! showing off some skin. It’s a good look for you.”

Avery’s smile faltered for only a second. If the devil was real, her soul was already captured. That seemed to be a theme of the undead. “All red, pointy horns? I’ll make sure to keep an eye out for him.” She turned her head as one of the dancers spun around the pole, an incredible amount of strength exerted to pull off a move. “Me? Not unless the erratic movements of a chicken on molly ever became popular.”

“Oh yeah, just... send up the bat signal,” Danielle giggled in return, referencing her costume. she admittedly had more ‘super powers’ than batman did, that would be something she’d have to laugh with maeve or aurora about later. “A chicken on molly? Damn, where do you come up with that description?” She asked with amused surprise.

he could smell the alcohol on her long before she even opened her mouth to speak. his face turned, nose scrunching softly in opposition to the smell as he took a step away, ensuring that there was enough space between them that he could remain comfortable. “plenty of people,” he said as matter-of-factly as he could muster, “most people see an officer’s uniform and turn tail,” he reminded her, laying it out as a soft hint that he hoped she would pick up on. he sighed, eyes rolling away even as he said the words, feeling like a unearthed nerve– completely exposed. 

“Oh suuure,” Danielle rolled her eyes, though she was smiling as she did so. “Only if they’ve got something to hide right? oh shit-” she stopped dramatically, not really getting the hint that she should move on back to the party and leave this poor man alone. “-I speed sometimes.” The admission was spoken as if it were a terrible crime worthy of being locked away for, as Danielle could be fairly dramatic even in jest. “What, don’t like halloween?”

She laughed as the other woman placed her hand on Ruby’s arm, and shook her head, “I’m sure you can tell, I do not.” She grinned and looked back up at the dancers for a moment before adding, “They’re incredible, I want their work out schemes and their phone numbers. I don’t think I could do it nearly as long as they do, but maybe five seconds or so. You can do anything for five seconds.”

Slowly Danielle returned her hand to herself, following the girls gaze back to the dancers. Now this was the kind of content she signed up for.”You can do anything for five seconds...” she murmured her words back to her, wondering at how truthful they really were. luckily the intoxication kept her thoughts from going too deep and dark, and danielle laughed out loud. “Guess I’ll be seeing you at amateur night then?” she grinned, whether the place had one or not, it was definitely a funny thought.

Avery hadn’t intended to intrude on the redhead’s space, but she too stood in awe as she watched the dancers. She’d never been the type of person to carry rhythm so easily despite being entranced by so many different types of dancing. In fact, the different dancing rituals apart of various cultures always captured her attention. “Magic?” She grinned, overhearing her neighbor’s comment. “Maybe even a deal with the devil?” She decided the best way to move forward from her previous encounter that night was to forget it entirely. 

“hmm, it might take some magic,” she smirked conspiratorially, before shrugging it off with a laugh. Was there a spell that could make one good at pole dancing? probably not, but it’d be hilarious if it were possible. “If you find him, send him my direction. We’ve got some things to talk about,” she continued with another light laugh, turning to the blonde beside her. “what about you, ever think about getting up there?”

“Incredible what you can accomplish with a little dedication,” he threw back at the redhead, taking a sip from his drink. Henryk had lost his friends in the crowd, but he wasn’t too bothered. They’d run into each other again before the night was over. “There are classes for that,” the vampire pointed out, turning his head to take a better look at her. She did look quite delicate, petite as she was. “They’re a lot stronger than you’d think.”

“Mm.. yeah,. dedication,” Danielle murmured in reply, still a little distracted. Still she shook her head to focus on the male beside her. She nodded at hte mention of classes, already drunk-planning on checking them out - of course anything decided while drunk was up to re-evaluation once sober. “I can do a whole.. three pull ups. Think it’s a bit out of my league...”

Aurora knew she’d run into one of the girls eventually, and wished she could say she was even slightly surprised to find Danielle watching the dancers. The girl was as straight as the number five and hell, alcohol did wonders for pesky inhibitions. “It’s called practice,” Aurora teased, bumping Danielle with her elbow in greeting. “Bet the boys at the firestation would let you come in and try it out if you wear that.”

“They have classes for that, right? like fitness classes?” Danielle asked with a grin, “think the gym would have one of those?” She wasn’t surprised to see Aurora, it was hard for a young witch not to go out on Halloween, as cliche as it may be. While Danielle did not see herself with a career in pole dancing, it might be fun to try out. especially if she could rope the other girls into doing it with her. ‘bonding’ or whatever, right? “That might be a cheaper option, but if I’m gonna be putting on a show I’d like to be good at it.”
