So what now?
Interesting PBS podcast discussing globalization and more importantly a discussion of a book that discusses this change
PBS has the most interesting and educational information!
.”So take note! If you are feeling powerless in an organization, think again and review the above list. Everyone has the ability to acquire and use more power than they might reasonably expect to have.”
I like that they ended with this quote. Instead of just sitting in class and learning about it, put it to use! were all working for companies where this could be useful one day
There is always opportunities to have power within a company.. You just have to take action at the right time!
I just applied for a job simply by emailing the boss. This was unique in that I have never had an application so simple. What are some more unique or less formal forms of communication you have seen in organizations?
My supervisors at work communicate to their employees by mainly texting. It's definitely easy and we communicate instantly. I've seen some employees treat our supervisors, though, like less of a supervisor and more like a friend. That's okay at some times, but when our supervisor needed them to be serious, they didn't catch on.
This is so awesome!!! I got my internship by meeting one of my Dad's friends! Its cool to know that there are other ways in which we can reach out to people for jobs.
This reminded me of a post I made earlier that had discussed bureacracy and enjoy the format because it really teaches you about what the main topic in a fun
I love these photos! One powerful word among all words that are related or describe it!
An example of hegemony in history.
Very cool example!! I like to come up examples for these terms too so I can understand the content better!
