My first proper house...

Seen as my time as a student has ended, it was time to move into a proper house, with a group of like minded young professions, well that was the plan. Turns out moving into a house with a couple of guys you know from the pub isn’t exactly the same. Especially when despite being promised the house would be ready months ago, its still a building site!

I have been assured the new flooring is going in the next few days...

There is currently no kitchen... or furniture...

Although it does mean I dont have to feel too bad about keeping HMS Yet t Be Named in the ‘lounge’, Chris the goat seems to be enjoying it anyway. 

 At least my room isn't looking too bad... should probably get a bed though... or more shiny climbing kit.... decisions decisions

With any luck it might look like a house when I return from my mountain adventures!

Went up to visit my parents new house, right on the edge of the peak district, so had to find some time to go exploring!

Its been a while!

Sorry guys its been a while since I last updated this, been a bit busy. 

The most important thing that happened is I got my results!

*Drum roll please* 

 I shall be graduating with a second class honours degree in Natural History! Now for the really annoying bit, my percentage grade worked out at 59.22%, 0.28% more it and it would be a 2:1, ah well not to be done.

Well the question is what now...

One of the reasons I came to uni was as I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, and had rather hoped after 3 years of studying a subject I loved I would have a better idea, sadly not. All I know is I don’t want to do any post grad studying right now. If fact all I really want to do is ignore my adult problems and climb some mountains (yes I do have that on a t-shirt). So after many long arduous sessions pouring over guide books...

...some sort of plan has come together, and it looking like I’m going to try my hand at climbing and mountain instructing, if only for a short time. However the catch is you have to have, as you might imagine, lots of experience in the mountains before hand... shame. 

3 weeks in snowdonia, 2 weeks in the Lake district, cheeky trip to the alps perhaps, round it of with a few weeks in scotland... going to be a good summer!

Final exam tomorrow, prepared is not exactly the word I would use, however I did work out if I get 40% in everything I haven't yet got marks back for (3 exams, Dissertation, field notebook form Botswana) I should get a 2:1, so that takes the pressure of... a bit

Sorry guys been a bit quite since getting back from Africa, Dissertation and work left me with very little time, Diss is out of the way now, and just 3 exams to go then my time as a student will have come to an end (if i pass my exams that is)
