Chasing Waterfalls and Quietude: A 1976 Postcard from the Heart of the Brecon Beacons
“Found our old, but spacious caravan, which is very comfortable, miles and miles from civilisation.”
This 1976 postcard of Llynfell Falls, Abercrave, is a beautiful slice of mid-century nostalgia. The image on the front captures the lush, green textures of the Welsh landscape, while the back reveals a family holiday filled with "fine walks" and "breathtaking views."
It’s a reminder of a time when getting away from it all really meant getting away. No phones, no crowds—just a caravan in a field and the sound of the falls.
