I moved into my college dorm today for my sophomore year and I feel so homesick. I feel so stupid. Like I feel like that since this is my sophomore year, I shouldn’t feel like this. But I miss my mom and I miss my bed and I miss being in my room. I just miss being home. Sometimes I wonder if going away for college was the best option for me. 

My mom always told me that I should have stayed home at least for the first two years. She kept telling me that she thought that was what was best for me and sometimes I wonder if she’s right. I mean, mom’s know best right? I think the whole reason I pushed to go away was because I wanted to prove her wrong. My parents are such home bodies and they don’t ever doing anything exciting. They’re life is so routine and I don’t want that type of lifestyle for myself. But I guess I never considered the fact that I could still have the lifestyle I want and go to a college closer to home. 

I just feel like if I decide to transfer, I’m going be a failure.
