“Should’ve packed my wand,” Roman grinned, snapping a picture of the building in front of them with his phone. He had to admit he was planning on sneaking off to see the Harry Potter studio tour at some point in time– it’d been ages since he’d properly been to London after all– but Buckingham Palace was a good substitute. “We’ve even got dementors,” he joked, motioning towards some nearby guards.
‘ don’t worry, we can always make a quick trip to ollivander’s. ’ daniella grinned, arms crossing against her chest as she looked over at the guards when he mentioned them, giving a roll of her eyes. ‘ ugh, i hate dementors. ’ grimacing, she then looked back at the other with a grin instead. ‘ so, what house are you in ? ’
“Yer a wizard, Harry.” Christopher couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at the girl’s impression, arms coming to cross over his chest, smile on his face. He’d adored those books, and in turn those movies, and couldn’t help but see the resemblance to the place or myth and majesty. It wasn’t like his home, or the palace he pretended to call home. It didn’t have the old rug or the modern architecture, but there was something compelling about the building.
“So what’s a Gryffindor like you doing in a garden like this?”
‘ finally, a man of culture ! ’ daniella exclaimed, having found someone to play onto the joke that she had made a few more times on the way to buckingham. it was quite hard to find other royals who shared a somewhat similar sense of humour. a grin appearing on her face, she looked back at him. ‘ waiting for the quidditch match, of course. ’ she said before raising her eyebrows. ‘ but what gave it away, that i’m a gryffindor ? it’s the ginger hair, isn’t it ? ’
“ how can you say that? scotland is so quintessentially part of the hogwarts marketing. that is insulting the great series, dani. and scotland’s just a stone’s throw from here. buy a train ticket and go.” he encouraged. his hand went to his chest dramatically as he accused “it was hurtful okay? i wanted one too. you were very selfish, and i shall never forgive you for as long as i live.” a grin broke through his features at hers and his own childish words.
‘ god, you’re such a nerd. ’ she rolled her eyes again, though soon a grin broke out on her face. ‘ i say we both purchase train tickets and just go have our hogwarts experience while we’re here. no one will notice if we vanish for a few days. ’ she grinned mischievously, poking at his arm both to annoy him and push him into accepting her idea, just like she always would. ‘ hey, it’s not my fault if you turned out to be a squib. also you’re an old man now, no offense. ’
“i’m pretty sure hogwarts is a caste in Scotland so… you’re not a true potter-heard and i’m disappointed.” felix looked up at the towering palace which was to house them for the time being. he had come to to London before as a tourist, but seeing it up close felt different. “and hogwarts was a castle, this is a palace so….check your facts before you spew ‘em. “
‘ aaand here comes the party pooper. ’ daniella said with a roll of her eyes, pulling on an expression as if she was offended. ‘ we’re in england, at a fancy building like this, it’s the closest we get to hogwarts. let me have this would you ? ’ she turned her head to look at him, nudging his side a bit harder than she should have. ‘ you’re still bitter that i didn’t make you your own hogwarts letter ? is that it ? ’
“my face was just made to be on a stamp or currency, right?” nat laughed, jumping into various poses to show off her features before ultimately brushing the idea away entirely. “but that’s reserved for the actual monarch and even if i wanted to be the queen of belgium i don’t know how everyone else would feel about it.” again she just shrugged the thought off, speaking to whoever would listen. “all i know is whoever gets to marry this face is one lucky lad, am i right?”
‘ damn, that’s the spirit. ’ daniella said with a grin as she listened to the other, giving a shake of her head. in all honesty, she was glad to have happened upon someone who was less ... formal than the rest of the current residents of the summit. ‘ who knows, maybe that lucky someone will be a crown royal so you still might get to have your face on their currency one day. ’
‘ at last, here we are. ’ daniella said loudly, though it wasn’t directed at anyone in particular as she stood with her hands on her hips in the middle of the garden at the front, looking up at the buckingham palace. a sheepish grin appeared on her face before she made an elaborate hand gesture towards the building, her tone resembling a bad imitation of hagrid. ‘ hogwarts. ’

okay i know, not the best way to start an intro but i told you i’m really bad at it smh
at 22 years old and as the youngest of the siblings, daniella had always been given just enough attention, but not too much as she had two other siblings in line for the crown already, which resulted in her being just the right amount of care-free – enough to experience life outside of the royalty lines but not too much to draw attention
growing up, she was close with her family members, especially her siblings. till she was around 19, which means about three years ago, everything was perfect in their lives … or at least, seemed to be
unknown to daniella, her father aka the king of denmark had been involved in an affair with someone else and upon finding out, the queen confronted the king and soon a fight broke out, resulting in the queen’s death
this happened while the king, queen and daniella were on a trip so the only witness was dani, who happened to hear the sounds from inside their suite and decided to go in, only to see her father on top of her mother, strangling her
she fled the scene, the death got passed as an assassination & daniella shut down her father’s attempts at making her believe that it was an accident. she knew what she saw and nothing would change her mind
while the arranged marriages might be a burden to some, it feels like an escape route for daniella who had some “accidents” this past year, barely surviving a car crash as the last one – she believes that the king is trying to shut her up for good. so coming to buckhingam was a safe haven for her ?? this way, she can try to tell her siblings of what she’d seen in a safe environment and hopefully bring justice to her mother’s death from a safe distance
speaking of her siblings, they mean the world to her and she’d die & kill for either of them. literally.
personality wise, despite what happened three years ago, she’s still kind and fun-loving with an never-ending energy to keep her up for adventure at any given time
but she can be quite stubborn as well – if she’s being stubborn about something, it’d take only a selected few who might be even more stubborn than her to change her mind
is likely to befriend anyone who’s kind enough ?? but if you fall on her bad side, expect 100% bitterness, sarcasm and a load of eye-rolls
