I love that sweet smell of decay that surrounds me in forests and woods. A kind of mulchy, deep, rich rot that has no connotation of death or ending, but rather of life and age. A sense of perpetual destruction and rebirth.

Ecclesiastes 12:6 Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Donât wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well.
âDo you see the consequences of the way we have chosen to think about success? Because we so profoundly personalize success, we miss opportunities to lift others onto the top rung...We are too much in awe of those who succeed and far too dismissive of those who fail. And most of all, we become much too passive. We overlook just how large a role we all playâand by âweâ I mean societyâin determining who makes it and who doesnât.â â Malcolm Gladwell, Outliers: The Story of Success
Having talent has consequences. Why does no one tell that part of the story?
âWe do this because the world we live in is a house on fire and the people we love are burning.â

Finally, some good advice from Cosmo
im gonna reblog this 300 times a day
"The time will come when, with elation you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror and each will smile at the otherâs welcome, and say, sit here. Eat. You will love again the stranger who was your self. Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life, whom you ignored for another, who knows you by heart. Take down the love letters from the bookshelf, the photographs, the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror. Sit. Feast on your lifeâ
Derek Walcott
We all have that one friend who spends their life lurching from one wildly inappropriate crush to another
âI had to get Blue Ivy out of the house. Kanye showed up at like 6am wearing a bathrobe and two pairs of sunglasses, ranting about how Game of Thrones was guilty of copyright infringement because he thought heâd gotten a copyright on the word âThroneâŠâ I donât.. I donât even recognise my life anymore.â
I like to imagine that in the sitcom that is Jay and Bâs life, Kanye is basically Roger from Sister, Sister.
