I’m there too gng, it happens to everyone once in a while😞
What really helps me is maladaptive daydreaming to music, it’s where I get a lot of good ideas. I can’t really speak on coming up with ideas beyond that because it just kinda happens? If that makes sense? 🤔
If you can’t come up with an idea on your own then I recommend doing some of these:
-Look up really fun sounding big words like “Ephemeral” or “Sunder” and find their definition, then try seeing if you can form a story based on that.
-Go on a prompt generator and look for prompt ideas, BUT go in the opposite direction of what they entail. Like “They breakup…to get married”. Make it original through a twist.
-Look up dream meanings, color meanings, meanings to flowers, all of that, and find ways to connect them.
Just a few ideas to start out.
If you have a good idea? Then jot it down in your notes, sometimes you’ll be able to fuse ONE good idea with another, and that formulates a whole story.
Don’t wear yourself out if you don’t think you can write in one go.
Sometimes I write in one go, sometimes it takes me eons. Depends on my mood.
-Personally, I like to use a lot of repetition in my writing, it’s like my main thing, so when I’m writing I’ll usually start off with a phrase, word or sentence and find a way to relate that back at the end, it makes writing middles more coherent. It also helps connect things better, you’ll get into the flow much easier that way. Then when you get in the flow, you won’t want to stop.
-Another thing I usually do is think of an ending, then the beginning (Or vice versa), and THEN go into the middle blind.
This way you have a set goal in mind and you’re less inclined to want to take a step back and take even MORE time to decide what the ending should be after you’ve written everything else.
The end doesn’t have to be polished, and it can change at any moment, but having it written down at least helps a lot.
-I also find writing the dialogue in sections first before descriptions is way more fun and natural sounding, which makes me want to finish the story instead of leaving it be
-Writing thoughts is also fun because I don’t even know wtf I’m gonna say, which is exactly how brains are.

I structure my works a lot, even when it’s all jokes and satires. Having goals and notes just helps. It’s easier.
If you’re lazy like me, then motivation sometimes comes from spite.
Mine originally came from the fact Wandering Eye only had like one page of fics at the time, so I dropped 3 more plus a slowburn. I was also grounded at that time so I wrote them all on a 3DS and the sheer thought of “Dude this is gonna be the funniest shit ever if I actually try to write good and then BOOM, it was ACTUALLY written on 3DS” kept me writing through the night.
NOW what motivates me is the fact so many people actually enjoy my works and that it can make them feel giddy. I literally read through all my comments over and over again and they’re so sweet, I like bringing joy to others.
Make it fun for yourself tho, writing is great
