I cant stop thinking about the last snake that confronted heaven.

Snakes are always the first, the ones with the purest, unquenchable imaginations. They are creators, inventors, artists! Snakes are found in the symbology of life, death, rebirth, healing and transformation. This snake might be very different than the last that stood up to heaven’s high command, with his gentle demeanour and his mortal beginnings, but there are still too many similarities.

Snakes are modernity, which is laughable considering Pentious’ Victorian origins, but he’s modern by Hell’s standards. His values are modern. He’ll fight, stand up against those who would hurt his friends (his family, his love) again. Cast aside his vulnerability and use his voice.

We’ve already seen a bit of the rules Heaven holds themselves to. Maybe all it needs is a snake to take it out of the dark ages of the past, and into the light.
