finished rereading a while ago and holyyyyy….. had forgotten a lot of details which felt like a slap across the face💔 here’s a few of the sketches i did after finishing it, mostly to cope with the wave of emotion it washed over me 😔 will be seeing a stage adaptation of frankenstein next week, very excited about that!!

Does the book have a cool title? It's probably bad! e.g. The Pirate and The Phantom Ship, two of Marryat's weakest and most disappointing offerings.

Does the book have a weird clunky title and/or it's the main character's name? Probably worth your while! e.g. Frank Mildmay, Japhet in Search of a Father, Jacob Faithful.

Read the phantom ship a few years ago (early 2023?) and to this day it has me in a chokehold, it moved me so much I regularly think about both vanderdecken & krantz (ive drawn them so much too :'] ). I've never seen anyone talk about this book ever but it's so incredibly dear to me. I agree it isn't the greatest piece of writing ever, but damn it stuck with me when I first read it and it probably will stay with me for as long as my memory lets me

It was incredibly hard to colour their faces, and I'm not sure I'm entirely satisfied with the colours, but despite that THEY ARE SO CUTE!! Also, the folds of the blanket were so fun to draw!
