poseyxharper:
Good, because… I mean, I could plan by myself, but it’s more fun with you.
Have you been... planning by yourself?
poseyxharper:
…so tomorrow night then, yes? No sense in putting things off any longer.
I will so be there.
poseyxharper:
So we need to plan a planning time to plan the blocked out couple time.
…
…Even I recognize the intensity of that sentence…
...that was hot.
poseyxharper:
Oh. Hm. That will have to be researched for sure. I suppose they could very well both be true in your mind, that is fair. But this semester- I swear it will be different. I will put it in a planner and everything to block out time that is entirely dedicated to us and only us.
A good one most definitely.
...I do like the sound of that.
poseyxharper:
Oh. …Is that where that’s from? I’ll have to make a note of that in my binder. Goodness, that sounds worrisome. I don’t think I want to think about that alternate reality. Did I? Or had we just become slightly too consumed in everything we had to do and not made enough time for each other?
No, no. It dates back to the 17th century if I recall. They just used it in the movie to terrify us all. I don’t see why both those things can’t be true.
poseyxharper:
Well, the saying does go “all work and no play makes….” insert someone’s name there “a dull… person.” Although that saying is rather rude… But I’m happy to be a safe distraction when your feet are on the ground. That, darling, was your mistake.
That will never not remind me of The Shining, so I definitely don’t want to get that bad. You saved me from myself. I’ll take some responsibility, but you looked so good.
poseyxharper:
That is true, and I would do it a million times over again. It’s nice having good reasons to be distracted anyways.
I think a little distraction is good for us now and then... which is not something I would’ve said a couple years ago, but you’ve been good for me like that. Just preferably not while climbing things.
poseyxharper:
What? No… Me? No.
You chose me, my love.
poseyxharper:
That was definitely a bummer to me as well. It was quite weird to not look around and see you, although I can imagine it would have been quite the distraction for either of us to get anything done… from experience anyways.
...are you possibly referring to the time I fell off a library shelf?
poseyxharper:
Despite the fact that I got up at the same time every day all throughout break, it was quite difficult to get through this week. I suppose the different environments also impacted me. High winds and temperatures in the teens are a big contrast to the mild weather of Los Angeles.
Hopefully everyone is staying warm and cozy this weekend. Blankets, tea, and fuzzy socks are must haves for me.
But you had to go somewhere where I wasn’t and that... had to be a bummer. It definitely was for me.
Mauna Kea is a legendary observatory located in the mountains of Hawaii's largest island. It offers telescopes to look through and tours of its star-gazing facilities.
poseyxharper:
…While you’re right, all I could think of was the Grinch… since he lived on a mountain with lots of snow. He could have done with cuddles and blankets. Lots of them.
Mmm... 6:30, dinner with me. I can’t cancel that again!
It’s true though. I’m sure a cuddle would’ve done him a world of good.
poseyxharper:
A contrast to myself, of course, since Denver is rather notorious for their being one of the places with routinely the first snowfall of the season in the country, I believe. That is a whole new reason to enjoy the colder weather in the last couple years… the warm and cozy cuddles. Books are far less cuddly.
Because it’s so dang high up. Where all the snow lives. But I agree, the cuddles are the best part. And blankets.
poseyxharper:
I know… but all of it? Even just a small bit? I would be shocked to find someone that enjoys… accumulative snow, especially when you barely get over one batch and suddenly you can’t see the ground again. But it does bring a certain joy to me when the first snowfall comes… especially when I can share it with someone I love and I can watch it from inside. Those are two very important factors to why I was smiling.
It can be nice on the holidays, I must admit. White Christmases weren’t really a regular thing growing up, unless we went on vacation somewhere. And, yes, what you just said was pretty damn wonderful too. I never complain about something that gets me extra cuddles.
poseyxharper:
…Evil snow sounds rather terrifying… But I understand what you mean. I wonder if it will be a snowy Thanksgiving.
I’m from Southern California, babe. All snow is evil. ...but I do like the way it makes you smile.
poseyxharper:
It certainly was! I was glad that I bought new winter-themed pajamas already, even if it does seem a bit early to be celebrating the season.
I think once the evil snow begins to fall, we have every right to snowflake pajamas.
