Airport Security Bins

One of my biggest pet peeves is when, after airport security, people don’t take their empty luggage bins off the conveyor belt and just leave them there. It makes me IRRATIONALLY angry and it’s so inefficient. PLEASE put the BINS in the fucking RECEPTACLE it’s NOT that hard i am totally not making this post because i just got through airport security and there was a stack of five of four bins just sitting on the conveyor belt no way not at all

Sputnik Planum

Pluto was just supposed to be a small asteroid like planetoid, demoted to the status of a minor planet, and then New Horizons passed by and changed forever our understanding of this surprisingly dynamic world.

This 1000 km wide smooth area known as Sputnik Planum is one of the many surprises, could it hold an ocean of frozen water ice ?

Free time

It's been a few weeks since I got back from my 2.6 month trip to Nepal, and I still don't know what to do with myself. While there, my instructors had a plan for every day with things to do and stuff to see. Now that I'm home, I don't know what to do with all of my free time. It feels like I'm just kind of wasting away, even if I am generally enjoying life right now. I'll probably find something to do with myself at some point.

When your villain organization is running low on resources after the whole phazon debacle, you've got to make some of your weapon acquisitions by purchasing rather than manufacturing them yourselves or just stealing, your underlings are chosen by their ability to follow orders, not to question what they're told, your boss is an artificial intelligence who, though in many ways brilliant, was originally created for archiving purposes and doesn't know the first thing about haggling, and your boyfriend is out fetching some metroids and won't be back for a few days (he said not to worry, what are the chances he'd randomly run into Samus or something, right?), who's going to deal with making sure your space shopping cart isn't full of "great" deals like "lightly used bombs"? Not the ghost or the fish.

Moony McMoon Face

Quite honestly, I use any excuse to slap a picture of Saturn on my blog, but in this case it's well deserved. All that browsing through Tumblr and then the most beautiful planet Saturn to feast your eyes upon.

There is actually a reason this time, as Taiwan’s Academia Sinica Institute has been hard at work leading a team of astronomers looking for moons of Saturn, and they didn't just find 1 new one, they found 62 new moons !

That takes Saturn's current total to 145, beating the mighty Jupiter into second place with a mere 95.

Of course, these moons are not the classic beautiful spherical moons of Cassini wonder and fame, they are more the asteroid potato like moons that Mars has, and the reason they've not been found before now, is simply they do not orbit in a nice simple predictable way, they are classified as irregular.

The team are not convinced they've done finding moons either. What draws them to this task is unpicking the history and past of the gas giant systems, as it is believed many of these moons are parts of larger objects that have been crushed or smashed up at some point in the past, so it's evidence of a dynamic system, one in a state of change.

Future Redeemed

Holy shit that is the best fucking dlc i've ever played. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was already my favorite game of all time before it came out, but future redeemed just skyrocketed my opinion of it.

That. Fucking. Radio. I cannot believe what they did. I'm still in awe.
