Dan gave a malicious grin as he took another step towards the boy, tauntingly. He whimpered in fright, scrambling the best he could, kicking his feet to push him backwards. Dan took another step forward, and the kid looked up at him with tearful eyes. Dan paused. He knew those eyes anywhere, and his grin instantly dropped into a frown. This was Jazz’s little boy.

There’s a new ghost showing his face in Gravity Falls, and the twins have resolved to find him and find out if he’s malevolent or benevolent. At least that black-haired boy named “Danny” has offered to help them find this strange elusive ghost, unlike any they’ve seen before.

The Guys In White start ramping up efforts to track down the Box Ghost, prompting suspicion from NGO ghost hunters.

When Phantom presses him for answers, he reveals that in life he was a researcher for the now-defunct private military group Militaires sans Frontières, whose unconventional gadgets(such as the infamous cardboard tank) earned them a great deal of success.

Upon his death, Danny discovers that he is the new crowned king of the Ghost Zone.

Maddie had suspected her youngest child of having some kind of ghostly influence for a while. So she was expecting for them to reveal that. Not admit that he’s trans.

The Guys In White recruit The Red Huntress for her ghost hunting skills. She was content with this arrangement, for a while. Until they discovered that her suit is an ectoplasmic construct, completely of ghostly origin. Not only that, but it seems to be part of her body. The Red Huntress is officially classed as an ecto-entity and they turn on her.

The Fentons, the Red Huntress, and Phantom all come to the reluctant agreement that Amity Park world be much easier to defend if they simply worked together. This is, of course, much easier said than done.

Jazz takes up a babysitting gig for her new neighbor's little sister, Abby. Abby's brother, Mike, had warned Jazz that Abby was fascinated with the old pizzeria's animatronics, and that she drew them often. She ends up showing these pictures to Danny, who's only reaction was "shit's haunted."

Vlad and Harriet had agreed to keep their new relationship private and to take things slowly. Harriet was newly divorced and had only moved to Amity Park recently for her news anchor job. Vlad was struggling to balance his new position as mayor while running his billion dollar empire while trying to decide if he should tell Harriet his secret. So of course, they made everything more complicated by accidentally getting pregnant within weeks of dating.
