You are the opening of the suite, the beginnings everyone awaits, the soft hum of the violins tuning as it grows louder and louder till the lights come on. You are the excitement one feels knowing they have this world to themselves, and the love one feels knowing there cannot be an end. You are the comfort of the unknown instead of the fear, and the happiness you hold, though it may fade, will always return to you. You are the beauty most lack, and the originality everyone strives for.
time for yet another updated intro post since it's been awhile!
so hello friends, I’m Frost, or Frosty, take your pick. i’m an asexual, aromantic non-binary, and i prefer they/them pronouns
this is actually my personal blog
and i have no game/character-specific blogs, but i love MMORPGs, so that just tends to be what i post a lot about, aside from general posts or other games
currently, my main game is World of Warcraft, with Final Fantasy XIV and Star Wars: The Old Republic on the side. but i’ve also played Guild Wars 2, RIFT: Planes of Telara, and Ragnarök Online, though i’ve largely quit those ones (but i still love my toons and those worlds, so feel free to engage me on them as well). in XIV i tend to be a midcore casual player, while in WoW and SWTOR i’m just straight up casual, but i still don't tolerate any bullshit and rudeness, regardless of if it's from a raider or a casual
while i kinda have character/OC lists, they're largely outdated and i have no ETA on when i might get around to updating them, so if you'd like to know more about a certain character, feel free to ask me, or find their tag, as i at least tag their stuff to the best of my ability
anyway, that’s me, welcome and enjoy your stay
THERE ARE (WoW) MIDNIGHT AND (FFXIV) DAWNTRAIL SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT
guys. Guys please you're allowed to say big boy words. please we cannot keep just rolling with the sanitization of every space on the internet ok. you're allowed to say suicide. you're allowed to say porn. they're not bad words, they're just words.
also by ''censoring'' the words with silly spellings you're actually making it much harder for people to filter out. please just say Sex you don't have to call it woohoo like it's the fucking sims. i promise the Word Police aren't going to arrest you
incredibly bizarre and confusing seeing ppl call themselves "chuds" all the sudden b/c like
thats what we call neo nazis and shitty conservative bros? or at least its what we used to call them? why are ppl calling themselves "chuds" affectionately now
what is happening
yall know chud means fascist right like please tell me yall know that
im hoping this is a case of "younger folks on the internet adopting Silly Word b/c its Silly and not realizing it actually means something"
so here's me educating! you're calling yourselves fascists! thats what you're doing! maybe don't do that and use your head before you start using every goofy word you see!
Sex scene as character study is so good. What is your relationship to your body? What is your relationship to your partner? What lessons have you absorbed from the culture about yourself as a sexual being? How much do you have to trust someone before being comfortable with intimacy? What fears and insecurities come to the fore for you when you take your clothes off? It's so good.
How do they communicate? How do they expect others to communicate? How well do they understand their body and their own capacity for pleasure? What do they tend to do to make their partner feel comfortable? How comfortable are they showing emotion in front of others? How much insight do they have into what their own emotions mean and are connected to? What are they focused on during the encounter? How conscious are they of exchanges of power and vulnerability? very very very good
What do they assume from context and what do they know from experience? What roles are they socially expected to play vs what roles do they think they are expected to play, vs what roles do they want to play vs what roles do they actually play?
If they at any point during the encounter have the thought or emotional impulse of "how would my partner describe this to one of their friends later?", what happens? What would it mean to them to be caught in the act by a stranger? A friend? An enemy? How would they relate to catching someone else in the act?
She finally gets a piece of finished art 💜Little bit of talking about the clothes under the cut.
[Legends Z-A Postgame spoilers]
Her satchel is a gift from Urbain, to replace the one he gave her on her first day in Lumiose. Lena's previous satchel was damaged beyond proper repair while dealing with the Rogue Mega evolutions, but it was a gift from the boy she had a crush on so she patched it up as best she could.... with duct tape. Urbain felt somewhat responsible for this, seeing as it's HIS fault she's in this whole mess in the first place, and seeing how she clearly loved her first one, he was going to buy her a new one so she didn't have to use her literally falling apart bag.
Lida put a stop to his plans once she found out, seeing her chance to play a little behind the scenes matchmaker. She knew there was something between them, it wasn't hard to tell and they really, really sucked at hiding it. She encouraged (read: forced) Urbain to pick a different bag, something that suits Lena more now that he knows her as a friend! Pick out something that goes with her style more than the utilitarian one she had before! You know she likes to dress nicely!
It took Urbain four days to pick out a new gift. Over the course of his search, he realized that he didn't know Lena as well as he thought he did. Just surface level things, or seeing her as she presents herself in the Z-A Royale, not as Lena the teenaged girl. After wracking his brain for days, he finally succeeded in finding something for her - a cute, black fabric pouch, trimmed with scallops and with gold coloured hardware on its quilted surface. It was hard to explain in the moment just why he had picked it out, especially when he saw Lena's face as she unwrapped the tissue paper from the bag. She wears black in the Z-A, so this won't stand out! But it's cute enough you can wear it daily, right? Needless to say, she adores her new satchel and it never leaves her waistband.
#1 is her post-game outfit, when she's attending school in Lumiose City for hospitality because SOMEONE'S gotta run that hotel. Throwing on her boyfriend's jacket to keep her warm in the evenings for errands and picking him up from Quasartico for his internship.
#2 , #4 and #5 are just casual clothes, something day to day she would wear from the time she arrived in Lumiose. The hat is the same as her Z-A Royale outfit, she's trying to get used to it because she's never seen herself as a "hat person" before...
#3 is her Special Z-A Battle Royale Outfit™. Originally, Lena wore the lime green Team MZ jacket gifted to her by Urbain, but she found out pretty quickly that the neon material doesn't lend itself to sneaking around the battle zones in the dark very well. She was determined to go as far as she could up the ladder, so she knew she needed a new plan. Plus, it doesn't hurt to look really cool like everyone else who attains high rank. Although she was hesitant, she approached Naveen to ask for help both in navigating the sprawl of shopping areas, as well as for a local's fashion sense. The resulting outfit isn't her usual style, but it has the added benefit of helping her 'get into character' whenever she puts it on before heading out at night. She's still not sure about the sunglasses, Naveen. Sorry. They'll grow on her eventually. Probably.
If you all will allow me a moment to analyze the competition as it exists, there's something interesting going on with the numbers.
As we all know, thanks to the support of the good people of Tumblr, Tylenol has experienced a meteoric rise to second place. Even though her competition is stiff, I believe in Tylenol's ability to go the distance.
But let's take a look at the competition:
Elmer seems to be a lovely boy. I have no qualms with Elmer, and think he would look fantastic on a beer can. But what about Elmer's campaigns? Who is the power behind the throne here, and how have they managed to find such breakout success on this competition?
A handful of wealthy donors are trying to buy this competition.
At the end of the day, all donations are good donations here. This is a charity event so every penny earned is going to help animals in need. But it's not lost on me that Elmer's current ranking is thanks entirely to a few individuals with the financial means to put their thumbs on the scale.
Tylenol's donors, comparatively, are small and numerous, mostly $1-10 donations from many passionate believers in what she stands for (autism and pain relief I think).
Overall, the donations tell a very different story than what the base ranking shows you. Elmer is held aloft by just 24 donors and bolstered by a few wealthy patrons, whereas Tylenol has won the hearts of literally hundreds of people. Even the current third place, Abby, owes her ranking to numerous small contributions rather than one or two large ones.
every time someone realizes they dont have to pick between being a boy or a girl an angel gets its wings btw. and also extremely loud cheering can be heard in the distance from me specifically
actually I think you should be normal about ordinary citizens of authoritarian countries and yes that applies even to that country you're thinking of right now
"but they support [dictator] and [violent action]!" okay is it possible that a combination of propaganda, election rigging, and authoritarian crackdowns on dissent could lead a population to look like it supports something most people would find distasteful under more reasonable circumstances
I wish people actually looked up what grooming actually is, because it's not "when you read something horny before your 18th birthday".
Grooming involves someone deliberately trying to gain a minor's trust and open them up for sexual abuse. The intent is important here, because a lot of the actions that can constitute grooming are superficially completely benign.
For example, being kind, listening to a child when they talk about their problems or giving them gifts can be grooming if the person doing it intends to abuse the child, but otherwise it is just being a decent person.
You can't be "groomed" by an inanimate object like a book because books do not have minds. They can't abuse you. They can't even want to abuse you.
