Part of his series of 15 woodcuts titled Apocalypse, which illustrate the Book of Revelation. This is a colour woodcut. While the original prints were black and white, this version has been hand-coloured, most likely by an unknown printmaker of the time.

Bernardino Campi. Saint Cecilia and Saint Catherine of Alexandria, 1566. Oil on canvas. Church of San Sigismond, Cremona.
The picture depicts the Holy owner of the Chapel dedicated to her in Saint Sigismond, seated at the organ, with Saint Catherine of Alexandria standing in front of the instrument; on the left, a lyre by an arm is hung by a string on the shelf attached to the wall in the background; above the shelf there is a tambourine; on the right, hung by a string on the other shelf attached to the right wall, a lute. Both saints wear precious tiara, with some strings of pearls and are waist belts rich with precious stones, as well as elegant garments. The virtuoso surrendered completely goes back to Bernardino Campi’s apprenticeship at father Pietro’s Orafa boutique, while the fine elegance of the figures lead back to Flemish models. The painting was very successful that it was replicated, with variations, on several occasions.
