Set in the Beskid Mountains of southern Poland, Yaw House by KWK Promes rethinks the traditional mountain residence through movement, topography and light. Designed by architect Robert Konieczny, the project takes its name from the aviation term “yaw,” describing rotation around a vertical axis. That concept becomes the core of the architecture: the house subtly twists along the slope to maximize solar exposure, open panoramic views and merge naturally with the landscape. This work explores an incandescent chromatic field, where red unfolds through a subtle, almost meditative gradient. The delicately textured surface captures light, revealing a quiet yet persistent vibration—both dense and controlled. Balancing radical minimalism with pure abstraction, the composition becomes a contemplative space, inviting the viewer into a deeply sensory experience.

The intensity of the pigment, restrained yet profoundly present, creates a refined visual tension in which warmth and equilibrium coexist with elegance. A piece that is at once understated and powerful, rooted in a contemporary aesthetic at the threshold of the perceptible and the emotional.

A work created using high-luminescence construction marking spray, a material inherently ephemeral and designed to fade over time.
